Comes with a card reader, but surprising not a webcam.

As per usual, the description is wrong - it says it has Home Premium at the top but actually it's Home Basic (so no "free" 7 upgrades).

As far as i'm aware eMachines are owned by Acer.
''The Acer eMachines E525 also includes a VGA resolution webcam''
I'm fairly sure it doesn't...

The description also mentions a 250GB HDD, whereas this model has a 500GB...
nice price for a HD 500GB too, heat added
Single Core Celeron CPU!
Vista Basic.

Its cheaper to go for a better Tesco Acer with Dual Core and Vista Premium.
Buy at your peril.
Seems Acer do own eMachines

Web site says it was £469 a one time, I am not sure when that was, maybe 2 years ago.

However a single core Celeron CPU is not what you want in a laptop.

Probably other better deals around for this price.
