Pants CPU rubbish make and Pcworld aswell 3 things that shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence, the Acer laptop at Argos was a way better machine and was £299.

Memory Size 3 GB (Loadsa memory due to being crippled by Vista) It will be crippled with 16gb because that CPU struggled with XP let alone Vista my neighbour has an Asus with one of these bad boys inside and it barely works and that has 3gb of memory and all the messing in the world hasn't improved its performance it basically scrap.

Cold from me.

Sorry - you are talking rubbish - as clearly if an Atom with a gig can run XP - then a faster Celeron with 3 gig will do far better given there is more memory and more processing power.

Aren't these people who claim computers will be unable to run for being too slow quite annoying given some of us managed to access the internet and do many other computing related activities on processors that made Atoms seem fast.

This obviously also applies to these other people's neighbours too!!!!

I could link to a table showing the celeron to be far faster than LOADS of older processors that many will still be using to view this and other internet pages - but i wont - as I cannot be bothered throwing time at someone claiming only the fastest/most recent chips are any use for consumer computing.

Geez!!!!!!!!!!

All this time and I did not realise that you had to press the Caps Lock key when using the internet, I will try to remember next time to turn it on and use capitals.

eMachines ≠ BANG FOR YOUR BUCKS
voted cold

note: don't try selling a laptop by comparing it with a netbook

Is your keyboard broken you have to type in caps to get your point across?

The specs are obviously rubbish, and for the price being asked - you could get so much more. Yet you're comparing it with netbooks??

I hope and pray you read these comments. Less of the shouting and sales pitch - yes, it actually sounds like you work for PC World. This is what I'd expect to hear (God forbid I ever went into their stores) from one of their staff.

Cold as ice.

I'd rather buy a Samsung or other netbook, and then fit a new 320/500gb hard drive myself, and upgrade the ram and maybe put Windows 7 onto it. It'd be better quality than eMachines, and you'd get money back when selling it on x number of months/years down the line.

AND CAN PLAY CDs/DVDs AS IT HAS A TRAY TO PLAY THEM

Thanks for pointing that out, do you work as one of the "Tech Guys"? Your patter sounds familiar.

hahaha, i was thinking that myself. If you had half a brain, you wouldn't buy this, don't let this spoon with his shoddy sales techniques fool you into buying this tat.

Cold.
