Decent laptop, bought one the other day. For the price, it's a great deal - would recommend!

Has been posted before - but is a great deal.

I put an extra 2gb in mine for £13.99 from play.com. Makes a HUGE difference on the graphics.
Although you do have to remove the whole of the bottom casing (nearly 30 screws)

My local Sainsburys had one of these out last week but the price was £329 when they checked for me as no SEL. Wasn't buying just wondered how much it was.

I've had mine a month now. I have only praise for it so far. The only dumb thing emachines did is that unlike most laptops which have removable flap on the underside for accessing RAM and the hdd, this one only has a bottom panel. But a nice touch from emachines is the inclusion of a single 2GB RAM in one slot. This allowed the installation of an additional 2GB (from crucual at £13.99) in the second slot, making it 4GB. [Otherwise it would have meant only a 3GB upgrade or removing two single 1 GBs for a 4 GB upgrade]. It was a struggle getting the bottom panel off as phlroy says, but once off it was a doddle. The laptop feels much faster now.
