This was £200 a few weeks ago. Then Currys/PCWorld reduced it by £10. Now £180.49 from Amazon. Free P&P.

Excellent machine: I have the same gubbins in an Acer branded machine. I love it. If you want the shiny Acer branded product rather than the matt black of Emachines then order from Tesco. See http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-aspire-one-d250-intel-atom-n27/783911 but you will get an N270 processor and the limited functionality of Win7 starter.

Acer and eMachines are same company. eMachines have a better reputation though and are both branded.

do you mean they are both cräp!? i've had problems with acer netbooks before.

i am currently looking for a new netbook in the £200 range, but i think for warranty purposes, would rather go with a new machine.

Not exactly crap, but at the lower end. For £200 you should be able to get at least a Samsung or HP.
