Aren't there enough manufactured acts doing cheesy cover versions in the charts already?

Exactly, which is why Emma is a refreshing change since she is not manufactured and has not released a cover song.

Huh I had no idea this was a music reality / panel show act. I got a single by her the other week for free off of amazon and liked that. If I had sky I'd probably have watched though.

That's funny, considering she made her name by winning a downmarket TV talent show where the object of the competition is to sing other people's songs while looking pretty.

Real acts play their own instruments and write their own songs. There's enough manufactured rubbish like Emma's (lack of) Imagination around already!

Actually she plays the guitar and wrote all but 1 track herself.

Ummm, which just goes to show that you didn't even watch the programme did you??
Cos none of the acts were allowed to perform covers.
If you're talking about the X Factor then I totally agree with you, and you hardly hear anything from any of the acts after 1 or 2 singles.

Seriously though, if you're gonna slam other people's posts and opinions, then do some research first.

It's well known in the music biz that manufactured singers are often given a co-writing credit just to make them look more credible even when they'd struggle to write their own name without their manager's help. And anyone can mime playing a guitar on TV!

Sorry Marcusesp79, I think it's you who doesn't know what you're talking about. TV talent shows are all about who looks the prettiest and gets the most telephone votes; actual musical talent has nothing to do with it.

It's manufactured acts like Emma's Imagination that are holding back real talented bands; ones who play their own instruments and write their own songs. For all your enthusiasm, you really need to accept that this Emma woman is just another of Simon Cowell's puppets.

See, now I think you're actually just talking rubbish to try and wind me up.
I'm not gonna rise to it cos we all know that Emma writes and performs her own songs. I've seen her Live, met her and had a beer with her....and Must Be The Music was nothing to do with Simon Cowell at all. Hence why the show has been cancelled and the Cack-Factor still reigns supreme.

So, end of. :)

End of indeed. I'm sure there are fans around who thought the Cheeky Girls were talented performers who wrote their own songs too!

If they truly were fans, they'd know that the "Cheeky Girls" mum wrote their songs.
