Pause live TV with this Emotion 26" LCD TV, thanks to its remarkable USB record feature. This means you can pause live digital tv, instant record, and record from the 7-day electronic programme guide. A 4GB memory key is included so you can record up to 2 hours worth (approximately) of programmes straight away. It's also got some of the more traditional things you'll expect from a TV: a built-in Freeview digital tuner and a built-in DVD player. And it's HD-ready too.

Automatic set-up and on-screen menus make installation easy, while for connecting to other things there's an S-video socket, two SCART sockets, two HDMI sockets, a USB port and digital co-axial output for connection to an amplifier.

Two built-in speakers provide Nicam stereo sound, and finished in glossy black it will look good too.

any reviews?...seems a good price for size and functions.

I would not waste time ordering a TV from Sainsbury's, I have placed 3 orders in the last month, on every occasion they have taken payment and then cancelled the order within minutes due to being out of stock, a complete shambles of a company.:x
#4
It does look good for the price, esp with a 4000:1 contrast ratio at that price

Seems a good price esp with the £20 off. Anyone found any reviews yet or care to suggest the best item to add to the cart to tip you over £200?

If anyone knows of a tv offering a similar size and feature set but with Freesat instead of Freeview? please PM me. Thanks.

Good deal though, was going to go for this 26" Matsui for £170 http://www.cheap-lcd-tv.co.uk/26_Matsui_M26LW508_HD_Ready_Digital_Freeview_LCD_TV_543_d
But this looks like a better deal with the £20 off...

Thanks op,

i dont know but i am suspecting that the fact a 4gb is included its FAT file system, as for reading from the usb i suppose it could do as the recording must be in a file format? and that is prolly mp4

The quoted contrast figure is just sales hype, it means nothing at all in reality.

Looking at the 32" 1080p version for £299 (£279 with code).

Does anyone have any experience of this make or model?

Why's this expired? I just went in to my local Sainsbury's in Spalding 20 mins ago and they had them in stock at £199. I read the packaging and it was definitely an Emotion 26" with USB record and included a 4GB USB stick. The packaging also stated "Sumsung panel"

Can anybody tell me please, that as you look at the TV from the front, what side is the DVD player on?
The space I'm thinking of putting it into is cornered, ie, chimney brest to the left, so would be unable to load DVD.
Thanks,
Nige

Thanks ruthplaydon.
Typically, it's just gone out of stock though....

We've just picked one up from Sainsburys - all seemed well, first one the remote was dead - but it picked up plenty of the freeview channels - this 2nd one can't get itv1,2,,3 channel 4 etc... not very happy so far.

Sainsburys helpline advised a booster aeiral - first of which didn't make any difference & told in must be 20-40db .. which we are now trying.

this is unlikely to be a fault with tv, but it is very annoying - anyone here having problems along these lines?

Sainsburys in Burpham, Guildford.
Still had these in stock this evening.

Got this a couple of weeks ago, I bought a 250 gb USB powered Seagate Expansion small black hard drive from Tesco at £38, formatted it to FAT32 on the PC, this happily plays MP4, AVI and MPG and tucks out of site between the tv and the wall bracket at the rear.
For your information the 'USB record' from the TV records in MPG and is fully reverse compatible with the PC.
Superb piece of kit and I paid £270 when it first came out, :w00t:
I put a review on the Sainsburys site but because I mentioned a cheap ASDA LCD bracket for £12.50 that matched the VESA 400x200 mounting of this set they presumably pulled the review - very petty :x
Click the 'email me when in stock button' on site and act fast when it does :gift:

EDIT : Looks like it's online back at £270 now, still worth it IMHO
#37
Can I use this as a monitor for a mac computer
#38
Load of rubbish!!!!! Does not come with any memory stick and there is absolubtely no information on how to record in the instructions or on their website. No record button on the remote control either, so HOW DO YOU RECORD ONTO USB ????????????
#39
Does anyone have a code enabling my Sky 9f remote control to operate the sound on an e-motion 26"
HD ready TV.

Thanks

I bought the 22" just before xmas and it's great. Incidentely it is now £20 more expensive than when i bought it.
