Overview

Product Description

This Emprex ME1-V2 High Definition Media Player Recorder allows you to play music, view high resolution photos, or enjoy High Definition video on your TV, and acts as a versatile multimedia hub with compatibility for a wide range of digital file types.

The Emprex ME1-V2 High Definition Media Player Recorder also has a built-in recorder so you can record shows and movies from your TV! Time Shift functionality allows you to effectively delay the viewing of programmes whilst you watch another show or go off to make a cup of tea! The Emprex ME1-V2's record function requires an optional hard drive, and here the ME1-V2 can act as an HDD enclosure via its internal IDE connection, or be connected up to an external USB drive.

Thanks to a built in RJ-45 Ethernet connector you can also use the Emprex ME1-V2 High Definition Media Player Recorder to stream content from networked devices such as your PC, notebook or home NAS. Video output comes in the form of composite and component ports, with High Definition transmission being possible via the YPbPr component connector.

With all of this functionality on offer at a surprisingly affordable price, the Emprex ME1-V2 High Definition Media Player Recorder lets you unleash the full power of your digital media collection without breaking the bank!

I'm sorry, but MBeeching has a point... I purchased one a while back and it was useless. I couldn't get it to work with the vast majority of spare HDDs I had, it was horribly slow and just plain crap (and looked it too). Just buy a cheap Xbox console and mod it instead... it would be far superior and cheaper...

I don't think it's a NAS, you can stream from your PC to it but not the other way around?

Thanks, had recommended it to a friend based on the reviews for his old videos. Will tell him not to bother now. BTW Could it record to SD card?

I've got one and it seems OK to me. By the sound of it people are buying it without working out what it does and weather it satisfies their needs.
