cold. Go for eneloops instead, like this deal from 7dayshop
Fameart PC14 Charger with 4 x AA Sanyo Eneloop Batteries
which is £8.50 with a charger. or just get 4 batteries for £5 here

If you don't know why eneloop are good, read this on wikipedia.

They are well worth the extra money in my book.
nice can never have to many high power rechargeable AA;'s heat added
Excellent deal, I just paid £13.00 for 4 x 2650 Mhz Batteries from Argos for my Active 10 Outdoor GPS.

This is an excellent deal for such high power rechargable batteries WITH a charger.

I'm with you guys - at 27 hours for a charge, it sounds like a joke - that is seriously out of date - 20 years ago 16 to 20 hours was the max!
Hybrio batteries are the way to go!

That was before dickslash posted. :)
are these any good?

im looking for the highest capacity AA cell I can find which is of good quality and of course on the cheap
had these in netto fo £4.99
One word of warning though I have had one set of these and blew two up by fast charging them. (then again if your gonna fast charge them you might as well go for cheap ones as you gonna kill them anyway)

The other 2 are still good when charged properly though so if you stick to charging them in the 27 hour charger they will be fine!

If those are the Duracell supremes you wont be dissapointed.. they outlasted these encores in my camera by about 300 shots before I blew up 2 of the encore ones. Charge them properly and they last ages. (they get some bad reviews but I like them) - they are cheaper by a long way at 7dayshop though.
If you are buying AA's for a camera, you may be better with 'hybrio' type batteries.
They have a smaller capacity (typically 2000mAh) but don't discharge when stored.

This means they will give you more shots in a camera over a typical usage period of 1 - 2 months as they are not slowly leaking charge like regular rechargeable's.

Also you can charge the batteries and store them ready to use months later. Regular rechargeables will be nearly flat after 6 months, while these will still have around 80% charge. This makes managing your batteries much easier!
Good info stapsell. Thanks.
went for the enelop ones rec by stapsell , house coming down with chargers , they are like nokia phone chargers , everywhere ...cheers
