Spotted these on sale in my local ASDA. Not sure if it's only store specific but the price label suggested it is potentially a nationwide deal. Not available from ASDA Online as far as I know - I've checked.

The batteries are nothing special but pretty good for the price, plus the charger should be suitable for some of the long life rechargeables that need a slower charge time.

Cheapest I can find this on Amazon is £9.99 (£14.34 from Amazon direct) so I reckon this is a very good price if you can find one.

It's the same as this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energizer-Value-Charger-1300mah-Batteries/dp/B002FKRHUO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1302547025&sr=8-3

Also noticed they were selling packs of 4 Energizer AA 2000mah rechargeable batteries for £2.50 as well.

Please note that this isn't a 'smart charger' and must be turned off after the allotted time.

nice find!

I'll have to check this the next time I go to my nearest ASDA (Chandler's Ford). Have some heat!

Isn't 1300 mAh really weak for AA batteries? I thought I had AAA's stronger than that (though maybe I'm making it up!).

Yeah, aa's best around 2000+. still, for 2 quid cant go wrong. Even better deal is the single packs if they are priced as above. Only problem i have with these chargers is the heat. Molten after a few hrs.

You can only use it once - if anyone puts up a PDF it will get rejected the second time it's used and reported.

Hence why you need to install software to get the coupon.

Awesome price. Worth it just for the batteries alone.

good find, got one in homebase for about £6. Works great with my sons Storio which used to just eat batteries. these have lasted well between charges.

I haven't bought such low capacity AA's for many years.
