That's what I'm currently using mine for. I bought a different Energizer model about 5 years ago and it's still working perfectly! great little products- saved a fortune on batteries

I recently bought one of Energizer chargers http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001P8OCCS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage It is really fast to charge four flat AA or AAA batteries. This is cheaper, seams to be very good for the task, too.

I use this and these, great batteries which I use to power a GPS and various cree torches, higher power than the ones above and this pack includes both aa and AAA cells.

i've had these in the past but the energizer cells seem to get pretty bad life after a year or 2. got loads around the same time and they're mostly all useless now. got some duracell rechargeable too and they still work fine.. wonder if these are better by now

I have one of these and it's garbage. Tells you the batteries are dead even when they aren't, and wouldn't charge any of my non-Energizer batteries. I bought the "Tronic" charger that Lidl was selling last year which was only slightly more expensive, but a whole lot better!

I have one of these and I think they are great. I did throw out a few old or cheap unbranded batteries that this wont charge. The reason it wont charge them is because its an intelligent charger and recognises bad batteries. You may be able to charge the bad batteries in other chargers but they dont hold the charge and after a very short time, maybe minutes need charging again (I have tried this).

I'd have some sympathy with that explanation if they weren't brand new batteries. A good smart charger has a regenerate function which will restore "bad" batteries anyway

So all bad batteries are restorable?
