I got the last one in my local store but got the box home and opened it and some clown has put the XP4001 in the box for the SP1000 - not happy seeing as this was only supposed to be £2

I have uploaded my receipt for all the instore haters below

CHEEPSTUFFRULES!
What store were you in?

Lisburn store (northern ireland), it was at the start with all the camera and phone accessories.

Not sure if it would be store specific, staff member said managers took most of them when they updated the price.

Did I spy a Dell Streak?

Still struggling to work out what to use a San Fran for. At least the Streak doubles as a book.

Yeah, got sucked in - can't beat the price for what you get ( apart from a good camera as shown by the above pic) - the potential for serious bodily damage is quite high with it in your trouser pocket though.

You said you got the last one in your local store and im willing to bet that it was the only one in the country as they had none in my local Tesco and my local is a big store that's open 24hours. I think that this is just a very lucky find and until i see that someone else has got one im not voting either way.

Good luck to those on the haunt for this but ive wasted to much time and fuel on wild goose chases because of this site and something someone got by luck.

Is that thing actually useful? Energiser states very little about the technical data, and the battery seems quite small. But they have this to say: "We do not recommend you leave your Energizer Power Packs exposed in the sun for long periods of time"

A solar cell that can't stand the sun? Sounds to my like it is crap.

Ooo! How exciting... I must dash to my local Tescos forthwith to take advantage of this magnificent offer that is clearly nationwide and not just in one store and used as bait.

Very hot if anyone else can find one in their local store, however that's not gonna happen.

Well, it seems I've missed the point of this site.

Here we have a deal which, like the countless other sililar ones posted, is a one-off which the manager just wants to see the back of. Not only that but it is a poor quality product with poor reviews.

Yet its getting voted hot...........

Jeez, anything posted even remotely decent which is, one the whole, available to the the masses should go nuclear.

Theres always one, look it may be the only one in the united kingdom but why complain. My mate found £40 quid the other day, you will be saying he was lucky and others may not find the same. Be positive, get in that car drive 200 or so miles waste loads of money on petrol then complain rather than just sitting on your **** and putting deals down.

To be fair I've always felt the same about these type of posts, however, this was on an officially marked up tesco yellow label and the staff did say that there had been a few earlier, but as I said the managers swiped them. Posted this deal based on the fact that if you're going to tescos, which a lot of people do, keep an eye out for it. With regards to it's performance and the bad reviews you mention, what do you want, it was 3 quid instead of £55 8)

Are you really basing your purchasing decision on the fact that it "was £55"? That's a sure way to get suckered.

It's known as a "gloat" on other forums. Namely: look at the bargain that I picked up - but you'll never find again. The fact that people vote for these just tells you about the worthlessness of forum voting schemes.

Even if I could find one (which I doubt), I live in Scotland.

So this would be about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

These alleged mini solar chargers are not worth the weight / material ...or bother.
Have had several of a leading brand, cack!
..If you want to use solar look at spending some real money on thin cell roll up modules, i've seen them for as little as £55 , which is a lot more cash (yes, I know) ..however these self contained battery solar chargers need days of good light, if you deplete the battery you shorten it's lifespan, so your electronics wants really only to sip a bit of power not glug it...rendering this item pointless.
& the batteries get too hot & prone to leaking..
& chadows over your solar cells mean it always needs readjusting..

Good price for a stocking filler, but as kit to work & get you out of a low battery spot, pretty rubbish.

"may be the only one in the UK but why complain"

What use is it to anyone else on here if there is only one item or one Tesco store in the whole of the UK with this deal? If other people can't obtain it then its a useless deal. I'm heartily sick of these rubbish in store Tesco deals that never EVER appear to go beyond one store. I have never ever found one these deals available in my local Tesco which is a huge Tesco Extra. I don't even bother looking now as its 100% certain it will be a total waste of time in going.

Yellow label?? That means nothing !!

When she tried to scan it it didn't recognise the barcode so she keyed in the details under the barcode and it came up at £3.25. I had checked it myself about a half hour before on the price checker and it worked there so guess they were in the process of removing it.
