I wonder if it's just 2.1A out?

If so, I reckon something like this (which can be ordered online and delivered) is still a better idea:

Both have three usb3 connections 3, theoretically 0.9 amps per connection. So if your device can use it, it should charge it faster. (Usb2= 0.5 amps per connection). I don't see how either can claim up to 1.5 amp per connections as they are all usb3, not usb3.1

This has nothing to do with USB 2 or 3... You are aware that Apple and Samsung have been making plugs with standard USB ports with 2.1A output and 5V for years? There was a 500mA specification limit on USB through a computer back in early 2000s but this is 2017 and we're talking about power banks.

nope
I've got relatively new phones (no iphones or ipads) but they never charge faster than 0.9 amps, from mains chargers or power banks, the maximum I've measured is about 0.74 amps. From computer with Usb3 connections, with any device, I've yet to exceed 0.5 amps

I have a 10000 mAh power bank that I bought whilst I was in America and one of the charge ports is 2.4A and will charge my phone in a ridiculously short amount of time. The 1A charging ports are useless - you may as well go and buy a new phone for how slow it bloody charges.
