For those of you that can't grab this try your local pound shop - mine was selling 16 Engergiser batteries for £1, not that good in my digital camera but brilliant for gadgets, clocks etc :)

110 batteries for about £8.50.

As above, these aren't the Energizer Ultra + 's, they are the standard Energizer's.
Still a good price though for Branded batteries.
You'll find them by the tills in a cardboard wrap type packaing with the words Family Pack written on the top.

Big thanks to theyiddo for the spot - got 10 packs from my local Superdrug this morning - all 10 packs are marked Energizer Ultra+ - no mention of family pack.

Thats what I was thinking...the whacking great picture on page 13 of The Metro says they are Energizer Ultra+....anyone that gets anything less should take them back, and ask for the ones advertised in the offer!!!!
#17
Heat + Rep added purely for being called "theyiddo"
#18
It's worth remembering that it takes 50 times the energy to produce a battery, than the energy it contains. Re-chargeables (in my solar charger) every time for me.

Hi all, great find  I bought several packs this morning. I had to ask though (she had not heard of the offer) the assistant dissapeared into the back. She came out with 2 brown small boxes and said that was all they had sent. They are family packs of Energizer, 10 x AA. Use by 2013.
AA-LR6 alkaline 1,5V . e91 . AM3

Thank you for posting.

same here - standard energizers - no ultra+
#21
The standard ones won't last five minutes...you need to make sure they're the Alkaline ones!!
#22
I've just bought five packs of the Energizer Ultra+ for 99p each at my local Superdrug near Leeds. So for less than a fiver I got fifty good quality batteries for my digital camera. Should see me through the summer. Cheers to the OP.
#23
Got them during lunchtime. They are a pack of Ultra+ with 8 batteries + 2 free written on it. Great deal !

They won't last 5 minutes in your camera, these are only good for the remote controls in your house (of which I have many...)

They are not Ultra, but they are alkaline
#27
very good deal heated and rep given:-D

Just checked the Energizer website - there's no sign of the 'standard' energizer ones, only Ultra, Ultimate, Ultimate Lithium and rechargable.

I think anyone who got the 'standard' family packs just got old stock of what has now become the Ultra series - anyone??

yeah its probably rebranding
just like they do with washing powders and washing liquids
same product though

no doubt a few years down the line it'll be back to original

were sold out of these at my local store, but i did pick up 2 samsung dvd-r 25 spindles at £2.99 each :)

Asked about these at my local store today, they didn't have any but spotty youth said they would probably be on offer all week and would be getting more stock in. Maybe worth checking again later in the week.
