I saw this a couple of weeks ago, but I'm sure it was more than a tenner, which wasn't as much of a bargain. If they've dropped the price I may have to go back... :)

Just doing a bit of shopping around, looks like a 4 pack of AA 2450 on their own are around this price, so this is quite decent.

The trouble is you end up with millions of chargers and not enough batteries to charge them with, if you're not careful!

Personally I'll only buy Eneloop/Hybrio/hybrid types nowadays - much more versatile. I take the capacity figures with a pinch of salt.

Oh, I wouldn't use this kind of fast charger, I've had enough of them destroying rechargeable batteries! I got myself a decent trickle charger, at least that give NiMh batteries a chance of a decent life.

And yes, capacities seem to be the biggest work of fiction ever, even amongst branded batteries.

Great deal, voted hot.

That said, anyone else think that local/instore deals should have that noted in the first few words e.g. "Home Bargains:...." so that anyone north of manchester can decide to read/not read?

It's actually a slow charger - takes 8.5 hours according to the description by the OP. Agree with you about possible problems with fast chargers though.

couldn't see any in foster square so asked the girl on till and she said she didn't know/ maybe sold out.. then she called me and said 'are these the ones' and pulled out a half empty box of them out of counter.
I've seen it many times and have been offered for them to 'stash em' away for customers.
