Anyone got one yet? Wondered if it is like the Aldi unit which measures Watts as VA, so supposedly not as accuarate as the Maplin's one.

No-one bothered to get one then?

i tried to get one but they had sold out by the afternoon, the same with the aldi ones the week before.
the last 5-6 things i have tried to get from there have all been sold out by the time i can get there.
all the items in these stores seem to be bought by people who dont work
god only knows where they get the money from to buy them.

I was at Lidl in Holywell (North Wales) just as it opened to make sure I got one. Very handy piece of Kit.

For example a Sky+ box on standby costs around 10p per day, whilst my Samsung Tv cost less than £0.002 per day on Standby.

I also managed to get hold of a cheese cutter. Bargain.
