I've been looking for a decent dehumidifier for a while, and was hoping that something came up in the sales, but sadly not. Anyway looking around, this one seems decent, but most importantly has 3

Please look at desiccant dehumidifiers as bit more money but personally, worth it

Desiccant works better in the winter and quiter.

The downside is they are costly to run, around 600w.

And they generally leave bad smell in the air.

As noisy as a fan heater.
thanks
Ordered one. They are delivering it tomorrow.
Topcashback tracked for me, but only £2.37.
Heat added.
Only 4% Quidco for Electricals sales, however Topcashback gives 5.05%.
As noisy as a fan heater.

I have to ask........how do you lose a radiator?

Apparently it was misplaced when a friend who'd borrowed it moved house.

Voting Cold cos similar (not the Dragon range whatever that may be?) can be had for about £30!

You're right in so much as you can buy a 2kw oil filled radiator for less but you can't buy this make/model for less. By your logic we should all be voting cold for any iPad deal because a £40 android tablets does a similar job. Either way thanks for the reply's, hope it helps someone out :)

I bought one and it took out about 4 litres every 24 hours. Now after 2/3 weeks the humidity is down to the level where it is no longer on all the time. No idea on the electricity consumption but I've never been bothered about that with anything else anyway

The clothes are also drying faster now and the house heats up quicker
so did anyone buy this and can comment to its effectiveness / power consumption. I am debating between this and a similarly priced 20l/day compressor style dehumidifier.
Same product cheaper. Good spot

doubt it besford, ur not gonna stay in business long if ur tech specs are wrong, so i would say would have to have output of 10w
richyrichuk
unsure why cold this is a decent price if it is a 10w output, gd price.

No it's not. £5.48 for a dim colour bulb - hopeless.

it says 10w, and blue!?!?!?
spnorbury
I use 3w spot led lights so 1watt is too dim.

Where do you source these from out of interest please spnorbury?

Thanks for the feedback guys really appreciate it.

It appears these things require a long term warranty then.

Still stumped as to what to do, the ebacs are more expensive.... Just wanted to spend max £150...The ebacs need filters changed too..

Try a google for dd122fw and have a look at some reviews, comfortably within your budget by shopping around.

cheers,
Pete.

We had a delonghi, unit failed after a couple of years (only used during the winters) just out of warranty too! - replaced with an Ebac - rock solid 5 year warranty for free when bought online too!
http://www.ebacdirect.com/product.php?productid=27

Just testing their 5 year warranty, bought one 4 years ago direct, packed up on me last week, Ebac said a courier would collect Thursday, they never arrived, now say they will collect Monday. Can't see them repairing and getting back to me before Xmas now.
For my business I just bought a Mitsubishi from this company(now sold out) http://www.aircondirect.co.uk/Mitsubishi_Electric_MJ_Series_Dehumidifier_16L_MITSUBISHIV/version.asp
More expensive than Ebac but so far very impressed, it has to work down to almost freezing temps, Ebac don't do that well, Mitsubishi are made for lower temps.

I have 3 Dem 10's 1 is 6 years and going strong 1 failed on the pcb after 3 years, There ok noise wise just turn them off at night, My 1st unit from 1997 combi heater unit has just started to fail.

Dem 10 used for drying clothes, Compressor type better, All units work the same as taking a can from the fridge and see it get wet,

As above Ebac is the company that has fronted Dehums for years
