Have to have this, great price for the DVD

Just nine months after England's World Cup triumph a Scotland side buoyed by success in earlier home nation matches travelled to Wembley to meet the apparently all conquering English in a European Championship qualifying round. Still with home advantage following the World Cup the English were the firm favourites to triumph over the much un-fancied Scottish side

Totally agree :) Review:

This is a must-have for any Scottish football fan, even for fans of other nationalities. Showing a full version of the famous 3-2 victory over the World Cup winning England side, this is sure to have you enthralled throughout. The most memorable moments would have to include the late Jim Baxter doing "keepie-uppies" in an attacking move.
It's also interesting to see the contrasts between the game then, and now. The fact that there is no pass-back rule, yellow or red cards, and they don't appear to have substitutes on either side.
Snap this up while it's still available

How sad that you have to go back that far for what was even then a narrow victory.
#5

Were the mighty Scots not also the last country to beat the English at Wembley before it was rebuilt?

more people live in london alone than the whole of scotland-always punching above our weight...least we're not like the 'we can win it this time' English drivel we get every time you's qualify from the usual weak group you's always seem to get!!
cheers, ordered!

No that was Germany, you must be getting confused what with having to support teams other than your own in major competitions.

I don't think it was the score, but more the way they were beaten that people remember about it

Its just a piece of b&w nostalgia that people can watch and remember with a bit of football history thrown in for £1.90. You never know, someone might even recognise somebody in the crowd. Ive ordered and am looking forward to seeing it :)
