Presumably "certain Prime members" means the offer is going to be targetted at Prime members who currently don't spend much, cos there's no point incentivising the existing spenders. Shame that this would effectively detrimentally discriminate against good customers, but I appreciate the marketing concept. No doubt some optimistic spin marketeer would suggest that the more money is spent, the lower that prices can be reduced for everyone, better services can be provided, etc more bull etc.

Not sure which section this should be in

Terms and Conditions
Certain Prime members will, each month for the next three months, receive a code for £5 to spend on Amazon.co.uk (each an “Offer”, together the “Offers”).

Each Offer must be redeemed by the last day of the relevant month. Any Offer unused by this date will be lost (e.g. £5 received on 1 February 2017 must be redeemed by 11.59pm GMT on 28 February 2017, otherwise it will be lost).
The Offers are available to Prime members only.
The Offers may only be redeemed against items sold by Amazon.co.uk. The Offers may not be redeemed against Marketplace offers, baby and infant formula, alcoholic drinks, gift cards, digital products, delivery and handling charges and gift wrap.
Each Offer is limited to one per customer and account.
The Offers are non-transferable and may not be resold.

The Offers may not be used on pre-existing orders or in conjunction with any other offer.
The Offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without notice. The Offers have no cash alternative.
Each Offer will be allocated proportionally among all eligible items in your order.
Delivery and handling charges will be applied to each eligible item in accordance with Amazon's standard delivery rates and policies. Delivery, handling and gift wrap charges do not apply when determining minimum purchase amount.
Items must be purchased in a single order and dispatched at the same speed to a single address.
The maximum benefit you may receive from the Offers is £15.
If any of the items related to the Offers are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the item, subject to applicable refund policies.
If you violate any of these terms, the Offers will be invalid.

not necessarily, i mean i don't spend much usually, but since December I've had Prime and I've spent £300

Also in some places it says for certain members in other places it just states for prime members.

in my description it states limited group of members

but in the terms and conditions it states: The Offers are available to Prime members only.

Try it, Amazon have really good customer service, do it, try and purchase something with the code, if it doesn't work, go on the chat and say you pressed it but didn't know it was the final step or you wanted to see the benefits and accidentally clicked. As long as you dont order anything, they will cancel the subscription and refund you.

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

I'm a Prime Student and it didn't work.

I've been considering Amazon Prime membership for a while but can't really justify £79 pa mainly for quicker deliveries (I've always been happy with free super saver delivery and saved a packet over the years) as I don't think I'd use their streaming service.

What's the best deal offered on a new Prime membership? Think I've seen £59 offered a couple of times in the past.

Received email, however constantly getting the following message

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
#30
Good saving if it works for you, unfortunately doesn't work for me.
#31
Nope not showing for me.
