This is an EXCELLENT deal - usual price is £15.95 so getting on for half-price and the circus is actually brilliant - I wasn't expecting much to be honest but I was very impressed when I went.

I'm buying some tickets as I'm off to Blackpool in August - THANK YOU!

Boiling hot deal.

Brillangel,

I went to Blackpool a couple of years ago, and nearly didn't bother with the Tower as it was nearly £40 for our family of 4, and we only wanted to look up the tower. However, we paid the money and had the greatest time. There was so much to do and it was worth every penny. As far as I remember it includes the tower itself as well as the circus, the kids big play area, and looking at the ballroom etc. (If it's still the case today!). The kids still mention Mookie the Clown. They thought he was the best!

Hope that helps

I always found the circus higly impressive - even more so, if like me, you expected something a bit 2nd rate.
I can still picture the finale with the floor lowering and the area filling up with water.
And the clown was quite funny too!
At £8.25 it's a worthwhile day out, as this does include all the other stuff in the tower.

Although the area is getting worse every year (to many stag and hen nights) my two kids still love it and we travel down at least for the day every year, the tower is great and the £8.25 is well worth it, make sure you book your circus entry when you enter the tower, and enjoy the rest of the visit.

The circus is the only worthwhile reason to visit Blackpool. It's usually worth the entrance price just for that, but you've got the added attractions too. Just take a peak at the Tower website.

This is a good deal.

There was a height limit in place when I last went, so if your child is below they don''t pay the entrance fee. Think it was 1 metre 5 but I may be wrong. Typically my son was above as he is tall for his age but had it been age based as it usually is, he would have got in for free!!

Check the website for more information though just in case it has changed since my visit!

And to anyone that isn't sure about going, the circus is fantastic! Lots of humour, fab acts and brilliant finale. There is also a small aquarium and huge play area.

Another recommendation here. We go every year, using Tesco Clubcard vouchers. First visited it years ago on a Candis special offer day out. I took my mum and dad, who are into ballroom dancing, we all popped in to see the circus simply because it was included in the price, and both my kids fell in love with Mooky.

I struggle with most of Blackpool, but the kids love the circus and going up the tower with their dad, and my inner old lady enjoys watching the fabulously kitsch organists before taking a toddle up the North Pier.

I'll use Clubcard vouchers again for the visit this year as I've got stacks nearing their date. Both kids keep reminding me that we've yet to go - even the cynical thirteen year old. I think she wants to see how many of Mooky's old (but goodies) jokes he'll roll out again this year!

Speaking as someone who has lived in a village on the outskirts of Blackpool for the past 20 years I cannot stand the town. However, the shops have improved to a degree in Houndshill, but with regard attractions, you would be able to spend a whole day in here. Even paying full price still seems cost effective. I remain sceptical about the other attracions which you have to pay for. The Tower and Circus is probably the best for those with families. Walk on the prom isn't bad either, but don't go in the sea. Nightlife is good if you like men after two things (drink and women) and women who have no self respect.
I could list the good points and bad points, but won't. As a local I tend to avoid it, but that's probably because I see it on a regular basis. However, I would still take my kids to the Tower and Circus.

Is the £1.75 booking fee per person?
#21
we used to go in the tower but dont bother due to the fact they have moved the bar down stairs and you cant leave your kids unattended in jungle jims also in the busy periods the children are limited to a time limit on jungle jims.
the old way was best bar right next to jungle jims used to be great on a night childrens entertainment in the bar so if the kids got bored in jungle jims they had fun in there too.

Thanks just booked some tickets, heat added:thumbsup:

Sounds like a good place for a visit, but the ticket deals aren't anything to write home about. This way works out at £10 each, child or adult, while if you pay at the gate it is still only £10 for kids and £12 for adults. Try and use any other discount option at the gate though, such as tesco clubcards or the pdf voucher listed for free child admission in post 17 of this thread , and the 'regular' admission prices kick back in to stop you getting proper discount - it suddenly becomes £17 for adults.

i went at the start of this month, cost me a tenner to park the car ,went to the tower and it was shut, went to the sea-life centre cost nearly 30 quid to get in and it was the biggest waste of cash ,ps dont get the bus as it was £5 for 1 stop

Includes everything. A group of us went a couple of weeks ago. Prices inside the Tower aren't stupid either, good looking Roast Dinners in the cafe too.

Must admit the Circus wasn't quite up to the usual standard. Whilst still being excellent, the show did seem to be "padded" and didn't contain as many acts as previous years (I've seen the show around 4 times in the 5 years)..
