Great price for a Epiphone Les Paul special II complete with a 10w practise amp, gig bag, picks and cable.
This is all you need to get going with electric guitar. This guitar alone usually retails for around £130 new so the extra 20 pounds for the amp and accessories is a steal. Also free next day delivery!

Also available for £169.99 is the performance pack which comes with a slightly meatier 15w amp and a tuner and lesson DVD.

I have been shopping around for a while for this guitar and this is the best deal I have come accross. This was delivered next working day for free and the service has been excellent all round.

Enjoy

This is a real beginners set up and you do seem to get a lot for the money, but are probably going to get fed up with this guitar fairly soon.
#2

Its actually a decent guitar, was my first guitar a few year back. My brother had bought a ESP and Epiphone with the F holes (not sure of the model) and this guitar sounded better than both of them

335?

Epiphone are great guitars, this one I can't say as i've never tried the budget models. Saying that they have been iffy in recent years due to a factory change.

Excellent price for a starter package.

Gotta give the deal credit for it's 9 months 0% finance too!

i paid about 140 for a Vintage branded les paul copy when i was a kid, and years later when i started gigging i was embarrassed to play it on stage. even if the quality isnt that great on this epiphone (which actually is probably is pretty good, def better than copycat guitars), you won't feel embarrassed holding it, which is pretty important for stage confidence.

i reckon this is a good deal, hot from me

Looks a good deal! Makes me want to buy it and have a go at learning to play!
#9
good price, but as ever id recommend buying 2nd hand and the amps are going to be ****

Quite a good guitar. Got one in my office in trans black finish. Nice sound. Not too sure about the amp though - you might not get the best sound through this amp. I'm using a little Fender 15w practice amp. Still - good price for the package.

Anyone know if there's a left handed version of this pack? Like the look of the guitar...
#12
This is a great deal

As for sound from the amp, get a second hand effects pedal from ebay, it'll make this amp much better! Just use the clear sound. There have been a few zoom effects boards on there for £10 which have 50 or so different sounds, great for a beginner!

Vintage now make fantastic quality guitars , amongst my collection I own an Acoustic and a Les Paul style electric one , they use really good quality components and the build and finish are excellent . http://www.jhs.co.uk/vintageelectric.html

Nice guitar for the money. Still getting good use out of mine, not much point in investing in anything more flash cos my skills aren't all that!

Duh, Yes!!

Send your PRS and Mesa to me and I will order this starter kit for you.

Epiphones from the newish Chinese factory are not bad at all so I can recomend this kit as a great starter package.

I have bought a brand new Riviera custom and SG custom over the last 18 months, great necks and build quality is impressive. I have gigged both with no issues.

Really depends if you want the tuner and slightly better amp, the guitars the same, I went for the cheaper package as I've got a tuner and not really bothered about the bigger amp

There is practically no difference between 10W and 15W.

I looked at this a month ago and was so close to buying it but in the end I went with an Epiphone ES-335 which I got for £250 on Woodbrass.com, a hardcase for £50 on Amazon and a used Roland Microcube which I got for £73 on Amazon as well. Cost quite a lot more but after reading all the reviews I thought I'd buy something decent now so i wont have to upgrade in the future. I think I got a really good bargain.

I was being slightly facetious....but thanks for the kind offer anyway. Might just hang onto the PRS for the time being though. (_;)

A friend of mine, who eclipses my collection, has 22 guitars including a Gold Top Gibson Les Paul and the Epi 335 is his favourite of the lot. And yeah, you got a bargain.

Can any one suggest me a similar deal for a left handed one! . I want to start learning but know nothing about these.
#29
Agree with above - looking for good left handed deal
