everyone on this site normally sings the praises of reasonable cost Epson genuine carts and cheap compatible carts. what's the difference with this printer's requirements?

Random search of UKDVDR shows genuine magenta cartridge at £3.06 inc VAT.
Printer takes 4 carts: individual colours so no waste compared to other combined-colour cartridges.
Lexmark carts are £15+ each, and that's usually for a compatible / reman on a good day.
Am I missing something? I don't see a sting with this Epson printer food costs.

not according to specs. think you may need to look at the DX5xxx or definitely the DX6xxx series for the integral card-reader facility.

Shame its the only thing that has put me off.

Funny how ebuyer thread is on 200 degrees and this one which is cheaper is on 20!

yeah i cant understand how the ebuyer thread is doing so much better, when this is cheaper, and you can just pick it up in a store, you dont have to wait in for postage

Did anyone actually manage to get one of these?

I reserved one at my local store, went down there to be told there was some kind of stock reporting error and they had none.

Just checked on currys website again and still showing in stock at that store......
