Ahhhhhhhhh! I paid much more than this on eBay last night!
#2
That is cheap, good spot
#3
are compatable cartridges as good as the original ones? I have only just bought my R360 so haven't tried compatables yet
#4
Good find, voted hot. Even SVP with their UKHD discount are charging £14.68 for this set of 6 although they do use Jetec for their compatibles which are known good quality and actually made in England which is a rarity these days. Jetec are based in Boston Lincs.

Just had a quick look at R220 ones on that site and they seem very reasonable at £3.99 per set (also for R200/R300/R320/R340/RX500/ RX600/RX620)!

Shame the postage at £2.99 almost doubles the price though

The set of 6 that SVP have are not Jettec, more likely to be the same as these, so this is a very good price. However, having used cheap compatibles and used Jettec, I would always pay extra for the Jettec. The cheaper compatibles have a habit of clogging the printheads which then never recover.

How good are these compared to the real things?

I had a cannon printer - used compatable after orignal ran out - ruined printer...... will never buy again.... (stick to original make....) - but good find and cheap price...

My current printer is an R200, prior to that I had an Epson 820, after using non-Epson inks I could never clear the nozzles, and wasted much ink having to clear the nozzles regularly. In the end the printer was useless and had to be scrapped.

Since owning the R200 for 2 years, and only ever using Epson Ink I have never had to run the nozzle cleaning utility amd output is still perfect.

If you buy cheaper Ink, you do run the risk of these types of issues.

I worked for HP for 10 years, and often observed the results of customers who used refills and remanufactured cartridges, the results typically are below the manufacturers standard and at worst invalidates your warranty when they leak all over the mechanisim.

I have an epson r620 and i have only used compatible ink,not had a problem as yet,i think if you get a good quality ink cartridge might have something to do with it,for those wanting to save shed loads on ink, have you tried the computer-farye,the only one i know is at Trafford,Manchester [Bowlers] on a saturday for those that have never been to one go early as you can spend hours looking and you will find some really good buys

I have a Canon S800 and always use canon ink, i have learnt the hard way with compatable ink and wasted my last printer never again
#12
I got an R360 a week ago and almost bought some of these from Ebay last night for pretty much the same price...

I've had an R300 for 2 years and printed 1000's of discs using compatible inks and never had a single problem. I've always just ordered the cheapest inks available.

I think the compatibles for the R265/R360 will drop to R300 prices (sub £1 / cart) now the chips are beginning to appear for them. CISS's are also available for about £30 as well but I've not tried these before and although I've heard lots of good things about them I still prefer the neatness of just using carts.

Just be careful with UKDVDR the items may show in stock but might not be. They will despatch what they have cancel outstanding and refund your credit card. You could end up having to reorder and paying additional carriage charge.

I complained and they point blank refused to honour order, there excuse was that they had refunded my card. They refund card same day as despatch and only informed me by email after refund had be done.

I have used them since for single order of Epson ink jets but now try and use SVP. Just wish SVP would do a larger range of Epson compatibles like ukdvdr.

All the Epson compatible I’ve ordered lately from UKDVDR have been branded PRO-JET, which every one has been pleased with, no complaints.

I no longer use compatibles or reinks as they have ruined printers I've owned!

I have just bought some R200 compats from the inkemporium, the shipping charges for ukdvdr increase if you try to buy multiple packs as well.

Same here - seem very cheap (£6.09 for a full set delivered) but picture shows 'Print-rite' and I got 'Pro-Jet' - will have to see how they perform in a few weeks when my current ink runs out.
Used to use them all the time, 'til I got a couple of duff black cartridges - I'm giving them another chance based on the price - fingers crossed!

Strangely 2 full sets of R265's compats from ukdvdr is £2.99 delivery +vat. 2 full sets of R200's is £4.96 + vat - they are the same size and weight for pete's sake?

Thanks, think I will stick to the originals then

Same here, had Epson printer, the cheap ink blocked the print heads, and invalidated the warranty

Ive been using 69p carts for my Canon ip4000 for 2 years without problems at all, with Canon printers you need to make sure the compats have the prism in them which tells the printer its low on ink Jet Tec do not contain these prisms so stay clear, you also need to use your printer on a regular basis otherwise they will clog and dry up heads

I have used SVP inks for ...............well .......... for ever it seems. They are excellent, I have never had a problem with my R200, or any of the different papers or Printable CD's/DVD's. I highly rate them, and would not buy elsewhere. I have probably printed in the region of 750 DVD's at high quality, and around 400 Photos at the best settings (Plus the run of the mill everday printing) My printer must be over two years old, and the print quality is still excellent. Give them ago.

usually ukdvdr supply either projet or datawrite both are excellent, have used this company many time and had guaranteed next day delivery with tracking and never short on stock, guess im lucky.

as for clogging i got that worse with the epson genuines,i guess all of them clog if you leave it 4 or 5 days.just a damn site cheaper to unclog with compatibles.

personally i wholeheartedly reccomend this company, from edingburugh to anywhere in uk in under 24 hours you cant go wrong .
