£401 for a replacement bulb!

Should see you through 800 films ish ... provided it lasts the 2000 stated hours ...

Good price, but refrub? So what condition is the bulb in? Cheapest I could find online was just over £200 for a new bulb ... better off buying two of these units to start with.

Not really a 720p Projector. Looks like it accepts a 720p signal but it will downscale it to match those specs. Would need to be 1280 x 720 16:9 Native to be proper 720p.

Projectors are good for business people like myself. Giving talks or putting on presentations. If you want to watch films though nothing beats an LCD. Good price for business use, voted hot.

Possibly a plasma might be suggested by some people as an LCD beater. But saying that may start a war on here so LCD is fine with me ;-)

Ha!

A plasma or a decent projector will both easily beat an LCD for movies, gaming and whatever else you want to watch on it.

LCDs make great PC monitors.

technically not true: any signal with 720 vertical lines progressive scan is 720p.

however, you're mostly right from a practical perspective: 720p displays are usually widescreen 16:9 and they are usually 1280x720, and if you've only got a 1024x768 panel, then there's going to be some scaling going on for most 720p sources.
