I bought one recently. Although it looks like you can get compatible inks, they don't work with it...seen lots of posts from folks having issues. Not sure what to do with mine yet. It's about £30 for 1 set of inks from Tesco Beware.....on the other hand if anyone knows of compatible inks that do work with this printer id love to hear from you.

Bought the similar Epson 2630 from Tesco for £45 a few weeks ago. Bought compatibles but not yet used. The supplier supplied very detailed instructions about how to use. Quite complicated, but YOU MUST NEVER LOSE THE ORIGINAL EPSON CARTRIDGES. These are still needed even when empty for the chip. Involves fitting compatibles, switching off, and then restarting up to a couple of times. I have nearly always had compatibles rejected by other Epsons, but is cured by powering off EVERTHING including computer.Tempting fate to say has never failed yet.

PS DO NOT MIX COMPATIBLES, use all 4 of same batch.

Have not instructions with me, but could get access in a week or so. Could scan and post image here if allowed by HOTUK.

Ive had many epson and canon printers over the years and have always used compatibles , sometimes you get a batch that wont work at all and have to try a diff company , its kinda trial and error but once you find a set that work simply buy from the same seller in bulk , ive ordered a set so i shall post whether they work when the original tanks finish

Looking at the forums the 2650 works with compatibles but the 2750 doesn't. I'm happy to be proven wrong here as I have got a 2750 and would love to use compatibles. One compatibles supplier says they will work if you don't upgrade the printers firmware...which it tries to get you to do straight away when you install the software. I didn't allow it to so there's hope for me yet.

Looks better quality than the Epsons I have bought in the past. Hope it doesn't suffer from the nightmare WiFi connection's mine have always suffered. Good price and heat added BTW.

Thank you for the PM it looks like you haven't enabled messaging in your profile as my reply bounced.. No hurry for the details as I only just got the printer so have the originals in, just need to keep hold of them.

On a side note, if you got your 2630 between 19.01.2017 and 31.03.2017 it should be eligible for £10 cashback. Details here: http://www.epson.co.uk/viewcon/corporatesite/cms/index/12436/

Can anyone confirm if compatible cartridges will work with this and possible sellers?

My printer died yesterday and trying to get a new one that will accept compatible cartridges seems to be a real minefield.

TIA

I bought the 2650 a while back on a deal posted here. Couple of points to bear in mind, as this looks like the same printer:

1) It doesn't have a wired network port. I always prefer to connect my printers wired rather then wireless. My experience with this printer illustrates the reason for this. Either the wireless card is poor, or the location has compromised wireless reception (I suspect its both as other devices connect to my wireless and work, but signal strength isn't great on them either). The result is more often then not I have to go and plug in the USB cable, as it doesnt stay connected to my network for long.

2) The tray and page collection is **** poor. Both feel really flimsy. But worse still are functionally compromised. When I add paper and push the tray back in, the blue "knob" adjuster for paper size moves meaning the paper isn't secured neatly anymore. As a result it doesn't always pickup the paper, or takes an age to grab it while it whirs away. The pull out page collection constantly gets stuck when trying to pull it out or put it away. This also usually results in the paper tray being dislodged (bringing me back to the first problem). As a result I just leave the arm in the open position all the time.

The deal at the time involved getting a set of inks as well and it was a good price. But once the ink finishes I'll be binning this and getting a new printer :/ (hopefully given the price I will have got my moneys worth, aside from the frustration using this device).
