The Epson Stylus D92 is EPSONâs entry level, general purpose inkjet printer. Entry level in price, this product offers excellent value for money with high quality, low cost printing, yet its features far surpass an entry level product and includes individual ink cartridges from only £6.99 and DURABrite Ultra pigment inks. This advanced general purpose printer is ideal for all types of applications from school projects and photos, to small business printing.
Benefiting from DURABrite Ultra pigment inks, which are extremely durable, smudge resistant and water resistant, the Epson Stylus D92 can print on a variety of media with fantastic results, from plain recycled paper to Premium Glossy Photo Paper. For photos, get amazing prints with vibrant colours, fine detail in highlight and shadowed areas and smooth colour gradations. For every day printing, you can enjoy the same exceptional quality on plain or recycled papers. DURABrite Ultra is only available from EPSON, and only DURABrite Ultra does it all â" for the most versatile, flexible, all round printing, choose DURABrite Ultra.

As with previous models, the Epson Stylus D92 does not compromise on build quality or ease of use. It gives the more demanding user access to many advanced features that control print resolution and output type, such as borderfree printing to A4, whilst keeping the standard driver simple and intuitive to use.

With a maximum resolution of 5760 Optimised dpi, minimum droplet size of 4pl and print speed of 25ppm black & 13ppm colour, the Epson Stylus D92 delivers market leading efficiency and print quality to the home and small office. Connectivity is via USB 1.1 and the Epson Stylus D92 caters for a wide range of PC and Mac systems. Mac drivers available via web download.

The Epson Stylus D92 comes with 4 separate DURABrite Ultra ink cartridges for the cost conscious user. By only replacing a cartridge when empty, you no longer have to replace all the colours when just one has been depleted.

Reviews
High quality, economical printing using 4 individual ink cartridges and featuring pigment- based DURABrite Ultra durable ink, the Stylus D92 is able to deliver excellent print quality and durability. The Stylus D92 produces quality prints at a class leading resolution of up to 5760x1440dpi.

This is hot!!!! The inks can be had for around £6 a set for comaptibles, its a no nonsense printer that does just what it was designed for! Or for even better value go for a CIS (continuous ink supply) system!

Its not often you get a bargain basement price printer that the cartridges can be had cheap for, usually with this price printer it costs more than the initial outlay once the ink runs out!

Another bonus of the four cartridge printers over two cartridge ones is the fact that the three colours are seperate cartridges which means that you dont waste ink by replace a whole cartridge when just one colour has run out!

Great price but personally I would rather go for the Epson Stylus DX4400 - multifunction AIO Printer / Scanner / Copier with individual ink cartridges

Only £15 more at £34.99 delivered but offers much more for your money IMO

Damn you!! Ive just ordered two of the first one now! One for use by the kids so im never coming to an empty inked printer for my ebay labels, plus it will mean I can disable printer sharing which seems to keep naffin up anyway, and another one for my dad who wouldnt benefit from a multi function anyway.

Id say the Dx4400 is worthy of its own thread too, im sorely tempted myself just because its so cheap! If it printed to cd/dvd direct as its the main thing i miss about my dearly departed R300 I would be able to justify it to my other half but I cant!

Exact same ink, only difference is functionality.

BTW, they are really taking the p1ss sellng this for £20.

A full set of replacement cartridges are £22.77 from the cheapest possible source, so these are disposable printers. :-(

Full sets of ink are £12.99 and £26 for 3 sets, non original but they are Ink-Rite excellent quality probably better than Epsons,
same ink on play are £4.99 each lol

You can get them from ebay for around seven quid delivered or my local market for £6 a set three sets £15!! so i bet most places have somewhere like that! (or free if he has a new brand and I get to be chief tester for him! He looks after his regulars).
Most compatible inks are just as good for every day printing though, but the inkrite's are better for photo prints and as has been said previously have been rated as better than epson for photo's!!

Never heard that one before!!!!!

Not every printer, rep for you (or anyone else) if you can find them for Canon MP150 and Lexmark X8350 (first one my dads printer the lexmark because it was the right price and my Mrs needed an auto document feed scanner at the time!)

If you only use original Inks then you will find a lot of printer manufacturers subsidise the cost of the printer to tempt you into the trap, in fact some (lexmark a prime example) often only supply a "starter" (lower capacity) cartridge with the printer, ive never heard of a printer breaking down because of using comaptibles though, but if a warranty repair is requird take the compatible cartridges out before returning as they may use it as an excuse for not repairing, although ive heard epson are pretty good on the CS side!
My last epson (r300) lasted through two periods of supposedly needing a service (some stop printing and give you a service message after x amount of prints) and after the initial set only used compatibles. If you get an epson that gives you the service message google "SSC Service Utility ". It works a treat!
