After the success of I have found a better printer.........probly worth the extra tenner for better specs, better looks, and LCD screen and the best thing is that replacement cartridges are available for under a little over £1 each from lots of places!!!

Oh and add something for pennies.............and get a £5 voucher so not really £10 extra!!!

it shows the marketplace first, he must have bribed amazon, the amazon £49.99 is on the right hand side
Yep, you're right £49.99, apologies ctuk - only downside is its 1 -3 weeks delivery.

I don't know why I'm bothering with this - I don't want a printer anyway!!

Voted HOT though.
how come the brother was voted to 515 degrees and this isnt getting hot???
they were all old manchester city fans

It will go hot. It needs a link as to where the cheap cartridges can be bought.
But what makes this printer good for people that print a lot is that it can be fitted with a continuous ink system
It will go hot.

Sorry widstyle, it seems that my prediction was the kiss of death for this deal. I should have known better. As well as the 515 deg. Brother , there was another Brother a few days eariler also with cheap cartridges but at the same price as this. That one only went to 14 deg. It seems that both the cartridges and the printer have to be ultra cheap, a rare combination.
Don't you have to have a printed manufactured before April 2007 to use the compatible inks for these ?
If you buy a new printer now its extremely unlikely it was made over a year ago..

The inks are at least 3 times the price of those for the cheap Brother all-in-ones too . I can't find anywhere seling DX8400 inks under £2.99 each ( nowhere near the £1 each quoted)
I got this from ASDA last week, and it's an excellent printer!

Very easy to set up; Cheap Inks; Can work independent of PC; Has memory card slots, etc.

Doesn't come with a USB lead though, so bear that in mind...
bump lol
