#3

Got this before xmas and its a great bit of kit for the price. wireless scanning to your pc, wireless printing, wireless sharing of memory card files for about 50 quid. Best thing = cheap inks, can be had for 70p/ea for black

Beware cheap inks. I'd been using Jettec cartridges for years without any problems in my previous and then in this same printer and right in the middle of a print job it came up and said the cartridges weren't recognised. I changed them one by one as each one failed but it now refuses to print any magenta colour.
#7
why is it getting cold votes when all the posts are positive about the printer ?
#8
how easy is it to do wireless, used a cable to set up for my pc, but how do I get it wireless - do I add the setting to my O2 network
#9
by the way, printed a full page of text in a couple of seconds, very fast

only issue seen is if you turn it off it does do a lot of cleaning of heads

Paid £60 for one last month. Good printer and compatible cartridges can be had for next to nothing.

i bought this the other day from comet for £53.99 great printer could have got it for £49.99 from woolies but just spent the little extra so a could get it right away

wireless is fairly easy, just use the display on the printer to browse for your network, enter the security if there is any and you should be able to scan for it in add a printer (take it you are on windows), make sure you are searching for a network printer. only problem i have been having is i have to re add it from time to time, possibly an IP address issue.

i say its easy but things never go to plan, i had to allow the mac address of the printer into the allowed devices on sombodys network once setting this printer up.

The point is that this was cheaper a week or so ago and it will be cheaper again. This is not the best price for this product.
You need to get a grasp of how Amazon works.before you make foolish comments.

Not quite, was £44.99 before new year, then shot back up to around £100 in most places until the Wollies deal came around last week. Hot from me.

Great printer, at a good price. The official Epson ink prices are very reasonable; my dad uses non-branded ink in his SX515w which works out very cheap indeed.

My only criticism of Epson printers are their mediocre build quality when compared to HP and Canon. However, they are the best value for money printers and I wouldn't personally hesitate to buy one at that price.

Have to agree on this one - it's really only worth £45 odd IMHO.....price will come down again soon I'd say.

i might point out that 2nd link he got it wrong and it was £54 with VAT if you read the 3 or 4th post down

and as for the other one that was before the VAT rise yes i know it was only 2.5% but its been over 2 months now and this is the cheapest Amazon have dropped the price to anywhere near that

Fair enough - sorry I didn't read through that second thread......

Personally I'm a 'Canon man' having been a previous Epson owner many moons ago. Better quality all round IMHO..particularly where noise is concerned! :)

its been £49.00 for a week now at woolworths and you get 2% quidco as well on top of that

Item Number 250641794787 on the bay

£6.56

Total 11 inks
T0711/T0891 Black ×5 19ML
T0712/T0892 Cyan × 2 18ML
T0713/T0893 Magenta ×2 18ML
T0714/T0894 Yellow × 2 18ML

I bought these the other week, he packs them in a way they can go through the letter box, I havent had chance to try them yet, still on the original ones...

I dont think you would find them much cheaper though.

Give it a week or 2, you'll see it go back down to £44.99. Over the last 2 months, Amazon has been playing around with the price of this product constantly. It keeps going up and down

I collected it from comet last week for £54 too. Gotta be worth the extra few pounds to get it right away, and to be able to easily take it back if it breaks.

Nice one. Just reserved with 3% Quidco & 10% off.
