This is a very god price for a epson all in one wireless printer, the price for this was on average £150 not so long ago.

Tesco's are doing it for the same price too, so for those that want to collect it etc.

In my experience, they seem to run well, well it does on my old epson photo 890.

Can you give me a link? Also, is it a CISS or refillable inks? If its CISS, then how did you remove the lid without damaging the lid? Im finding it difficult to do this without damaging it.

Argh! Paid 90 quid in Comet last weekend. Great printer though. Heat++

Got this printer when it was cheap a couple of months ago and can highly reccomend it. Good print quality, wireless is easy to setup, cheap cartridges (even the official epson ones).

I went for the PX800FW model which also prints cd/dvds i had it for £201 delivered from cdiscount on Wednesday also £14 quidco so £187 and over 3 months.

The inksmart is the same price for 6 inks too. I think it works out £6.24 a set of 4 so £1.56 each delivered

ordered mine from cdiscount cos i had a 60 quid voucher to use from cashback offer for a sony laptop i got from them at xmas.
it was 90 quid though plus £4p&p but theres very little else on their site to use it on that i was interested in.

they dont pricematch either . BOO:?

Bought one of these for £88 when Comet had them on a promo a few months back.

Very nice piece of kit. Ours is linked to a BT voyager router using Ethernet so can print off anything that links to that router wirelessly or hardwired including my PS3, PSP, mobile or laptop etc.

Nice to be able to sit anywhere in the house without needing the main PC on to print something. Checking the printer status, ink levels etc remotely before you print is also handy.

Do yourselves a favour. Buy one.

Mine came from Comet with full standard cartridges. In fact I am still using the originals after almost three months moderate use.

thanks, mine is out of stock r340 :x

Thank you. Placed order today, was looking for an all-in-one with wifi and fax, since I missed out on the A-i-O "Play" fiascio offer.

Overall seemed to have good reviews, with a few people struggling to setup the WiFi, and some saying they coulndn't get wifi to work with macs.

I think I may switch to Canon. My main concern after owning 3 Epsons. Will this end up the way of the other 3, clogging all the time and wasting tons of ink on cleaning cycles?

Can anyone recommend a decent Canon?
#27
Only 4 inks - maybe not the very best for photos?

Great price though.

Same question I was going to ask. My old Epson Stylusphoto R300 has been a great servant but is on the way out, so I am looking for a replacement with the all in one spec and CD/DVD printing.

On a seperate note, seen some recommendations on good replacement ink cartirdge sites - I always use www.discworlduk.com for my R300. A complete set of 6 cartridges normally comes in around £6.00, and unlike many cheap cartridges out there the discworlduk cartridges last well......

Yes, though not this model.

Some do, some don't.

I get sets of 6 branded 'Pro-jet' from a local computer fair for £5 and they're fine. Inks do fade if used for display photos though.

Your R300 has 6 inks, this one has only 4. Probably not a problem unless you are using for fine photoprinting.

Thanks for the heads up

Without the DVD printing functionality this ones no good for me, probably need to look at the next level higher spec printers (which will probably leave me with little change from 200 squid!)

How does above ink compare with epson originals? I have a Epson R320 and not had much luck with replacement ink, either it doesn't work - keep getting error messages and won't print or very strong smelling ink that doesn't work well on high quality paper (takes long time to dry causing smudging and colour fades very quickly).

I got this All In One, because I needed the Fax and Wifi facililties and seemed a reasonable price. Now only wished I'd got it from Tesco for the clubcard points.

lord_trumpington, I think the Epson store has a deal on the RX685 for £89.99 at the moment - 6 inks and the ability to print on CD/DVDs. Unfortunately the site is ******ed at the moment...

Well, I've had no complaints at all with Discworlduk cartridges. I did buy some genuine Epsom replacements off eBay one time, and I noticed little (if any) improvement against the Discworlduk cartridges (ofcourse the fleebay bashers amongst us will no doubt challenge whether they were infact genuine ). I re-iterate though, no complaints or issues at all with using Discworlduk cartridges....
