Epson SX215 printer/copier/scanner only £39.99 use voucher code "10ALLPRINT" to get a further 10% off = £35.99

Free basic delivery or collect from store.

A great printer with memory card slots and a 3.8 cm LCD viewer for printing photos without even switching on your PC.

I've got one of these myself, very pleased with it & one of the best things is the use of individual ink cartridges. (Unofficial ones are available from a well known auction site for only £10.99 delivered for a selection of 14!)

Dont forget Quidco too.

As this is the cheapest, and it's not a bad printer (I have one), I'm going to assume this is going to get hot. Thought I'd share some of my experiences with this printer.

It works under Linux (Ubuntu here) and they've just released a new Linux driver but it's not that great (not enough options). I personally use the Gutenprint SX100 driver which works but it's a bit slow.

A question for Windows users: How long does it take you to print a best quality borderless photo on premium glossy photo paper? It takes the better part of an hour here using Linux. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing quality but it's a damned long time for an A4 sized photo.

Draft/Economy quality using the Gutenprint driver under Linux are both useless as they're about 10 times too feint.

The best part about it is the ink. Separate inks and they're cheap as hell. I bought 3 replacement packs + 4 extra blacks (not official Epson stock) for about a tenner. Given that we're still in our first set (after months), it should last a long time.

Oh and the scanner is great. For Linux they provide an app called "Image Scan!" that sounds a bit rubbish but it's actually pretty awesome. It supports automatic scanning so you can load it up, walk over to the scanner and feed it bits of paper and press the start button. It'll scan, save the file and wait for you to change the paper and press the start button again. Thoroughly nice feature for when you need to scan in lots of things.

I just reserved one to collect from store, but their website didn't ask for promotion code, can I just give the promotion code in store when collecting? or am I missing something?

Cheers,

No you have to use it online before collecting

Not for everyone but if you can collect http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0802.aspx for £39.97 + 2 genuine high capacity black carts http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-7501.aspx £13.94 with 200 extra points. = £53.91 then use the 500 point code from the banners on the tesco direct home page to get a total of 1006 points.

Only really worth it if you will use the points for £40 worth of clubcard deals or were going to buy genuine carts anyway.

Oh and a bit of cashback - Quidco or one of the others.

So what's the opinion on this then, my experience with Epsons in the past were dreadful constant head cleans and then clogged up heads and very noisy, are they better nowadays ?

You'll need a standard cable like this :http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3515892/USB-2-0-A-B-Printer-Cable-Lead/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0
Price starts from 98p.

Yes I've ordered inks from this seller, quick delivery & they work fine, just like the genuine Epson inks.
