Good in theory and great when it works but mine blocks all the time and eats ink!

I agree with bigsky, great bit of kit but £35 for a set of inks and they are gone before you know it!! tried various 3rd party ink suppliers and found them to be troublesome with the printer. But for a complete package at £54 it sounds good... last point beware the drivers for 64bit are only on the Epson website

Mine went in the bin.

I've got this printer - ink sets are much cheaper than my previous HP but you need to change them a lot more frequently - and I'm talking about for normal printing, not photo quality / high quality printing. The black also stopped printing once and I took it to the local Epson service centre and it's apparently a known issue with them. Engineer got it working again and I've had it about 15mths now. Wifi set up so all the family use the printer from their various laptops. Quite noisy and slow to power up and copy is slow (again personally can only compare to my previous HP) but its not a bad printer on the whole and I've certainly got my monies worth from it (paid about the same as this) :)

Brilliant wireless printer but a total nightmare with Windows 7, trust me!

you plug it in and it works. maybe a nightmare user?

Yeah maybe mate, like you know anything about me.

I have 4 computers/laptops using this, 3x XP (wonderful printer) and one Windows 7 (why is the printer showing offline AGAIN) I do know what I am talking about, thanks.

I'm exactly in the same boat mate. Works perfectly with xp but on win 7 printer is offline. Why does this happen? It has worked with same win 7 before but every now and again it goes offline.

Oh, I'm not a "nightmare user" after all. Unless we both are!

I had a similar problem using it with Windows 7, resolved by assigning the printer with a static IP address in my router settings. This fixed the "offline" issue. Worth a try for the folks having difficulties.

Also, its well worth buying the T1001/2/3/4 Rhino set of ink rather than the Cheetah set Epson recommend as they hold a lot more ink. Its actually a great printer, amazingly quick and works great over WiFi.

It was ~£45 before Christmas but this is the cheapest I've seen it since. Heat added.

Thanks ajmuir for the tip on using the static IP, will give that a go, much appreciated.

Having seen all these comments I've got to vote this one cold. Epson at their worst it would seem.

I have this printer and think it is great, like simplyjimbo I do not want to tempt fate, but I also have it running from windows 7 and vista without problem and have always used mega cheap compatibles from ebay without a hitch. Like ajmuir I have mine with a static IP address. The only negative I have come across is that the photocopy function is soooo slow.

Had this printer for six months. No problems with Win 7 or Vista. I'm using cheap compatible cartridges, again no problems. Bought one for my daughter's Mac- she loves it too. Best printer I've ever had.

Had no problems with this printer, wireless set up was a breeze and compatible inks have been fine for me using windows 7.
"This product is no longer in the catalog." is all I get for this deal though

According to the OP they had 1555 in stock three days ago! I wonder where they went? Most probably threw them all away after they read the comments on here!

I bought this printer a few months ago and it is great apart from problems with the wifi. I got fed up with seemingly wasting my time trying to get it to work so just plug into laptop when needed.
Can someone tell me the best place to get good and cheap compatible inks for this printer?
