Maybe cheap for real Epson, cant say, but surely nearly everyone would buy 'compatible' cartridges for a TOTAL cost closer to the £3.25 P&P of this "HUKD" ? Certainly I, family, friends do for our T0711/2/3/4=5 printers.

You can get the printer with the cartridges for the same money.

you do realise those things mess up your printer in the long run?

I had an epson running on compatibles with lots of use over 5 years before it went kaput. Must have bought over 150 cartridges over the time costing approx £150. Would have cost £1000 approx for the genuine cartridges. Think i'll risk the cost of a new printer every few years and save my money!!

A few quid less at around £25.62 via Dixons with code - plus possibility for 3% cashback, maybe.

you used that much because compatible ink isnt as long lasting as genuine ink cartridges, so actually you would have used less genuine inks (figure of £1000 is then greatly exaggerated) although you are right its not by the margin you stated

I always bought epson compatables from Hornsea on ebay and found them to be great inks

Actually it is often the other way around with many compatibles carrying 20% more ink than original cartridges.

well said, how these robbers can justify price of original carts is beyond me!
they also say research n stuff, but the means have been available for years and the money has been recouped long ago, sometimes can't tell the difference in quality anyway, ppl who buy originals are crazy!

you do realise you've been brainwashed into believing that nonsense?

So just to understand the logic of worrying/believing/imagining/knowing that : "those things [non-genuine carts] mess up your printer in the long run"...

Printer - say £60 today at John Lewis (first hit on Google)
and that "mess up" knowledge/fear/nonsense (delete as appropriate) leads you to prefer to pay £30 per set of inks instead of <£4 per set of inks

So by "long term" you're worried I'll have to throw away my printer every (say) 3 sets of inks ?
ie you pay: printer £60 + 3x £30= £150
while I had paid just £60 + 3x£4 = £72, I'd have to buy a new printer, at say £60 = £132 = geez I've STILL saved £18 quid after JUST 3 sets of inks - AND I have a spare printer (as the first one will actually still be printing just fine for another few years yet, and if not then I have a brand new printer to 'mess up' again by saving loads'a'money).

"brainwashed" = a bit of an understatement BUT each to their own beliefs - I didn't say people HAD to buy compatibles at £3-4, I just said most people WOULD.

People pay a premium for printers that are known to offer cheap compatible inks. I've got a Canon MP630 for example, you can swap the chips for the inks so cartridges cost about a quid each. You have one of these for sale and you'll get almost as much as you paid for it in the right place.

Been using compatible inks for about 10 years on various printers, all print heads screw up in the end and start making prints look like crap but that's normal. Each printer I've got through must have worked it's way through 200+ cartridges.

Has anyone actually worked out the cost of original inks? say 20p per cartridge maximum cost to supplier for the plastic case, but probably nearer 5p each case. that means £5.80 for 15ml of ink (assuming 15ml cartridges = £387 per litre - I've found something more expensive than petrol!!)
