Yep it was reduced elsewhere a few weeks back, I stupidly assumed they were going down in price and by the time I got round to ordering they had gone back up. I ordered from dixons along with the lg x20 lightscribe external dvd rewriter for £29 that is back in stock.

I got one of these a few weeks back and it's a great printer, with compatible inks widely available. I sold the inks that came with it on eBay too to make it a little cheaper.

This sounds a good deal to me.

It might be worth investing in the 'continuous ink' system that can be found at most computer fairs.

I got one for my Epson printer for £30 including ink to last me over 12 months.

Just a thought

Is this where you refull the ink cartridges?

I've always bought brand carts but if there are compatibles that people can recommend I would be grateful.

Did DSG get the specs wrong in saying it doesn't do stand-alone copying?

No cartridge refilling required.

It's essentially a plastic container with 4 compartments (depending on the number of cartridges that your printer has, models vary) and then long, thin tubing with a dummy cartridge on the end.

Try here http://*********.co.uk/CISS-Continuous-INK-SYSTEM-FOR-EPSON-R265-R285-RX560_W0QQitemZ280465152621QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CamerasPhoto_Printing_PrinterInkCatridges_JN?hash=item414d069a6d

Hope this helps
