Called sky up and because i had the sports package they could offer me espn free for 2 months.

Always handy to give them a call and see what they can offer you.

I already had espn too but they added it for the next 2 months for free.

It's free on Virgin without the SKY Sports channels if you're on their 'XL' TV package.

Called them up and asked if i could have the deal a few of my friends were offered which was half price espn for 3 months, she went away and came back and says no but there is an offer of free espn for 2 months, so took them up on that offer.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to ring them after work to see if I can get this 2 months free! As we have the full HD Package, so having ESPN for 2 months for free will be a nice addition, especially for the Football!

We know that, but this isn't a fair comparrison, sky is far better than virgin.

I find the Espn for £9 a month is well worth it anyway, always a good idea to call them up once a month and see if you can get anything.

I have just been on the phone to them. I already have ESPN and asked for the free 2 months. I also got told there is no such offer. I asked if it was because I already had it. I said I would cancel then re apply for the free 2 months, but I got told that there is no such offer.

Not saying that you didnt get it, but I didnt have the same luck, sorry.

Yeah right. Give me Virgin anyday over $ky. Don't know how you come to that conclusion anyway when we get near enough the same channels on Virgin as you do - not only that we have a TV On Demand service that $ky can only dream about.
#11
No joy either for me so settled for £4.50 per month, fo 3 months. Not bad really as loads of games on..
#12
Just been on the phone with Sky and he said I can't have the 3 months half price because I already have ESPN but then I said can I remove it from the account and then put it back on the account, he goes thats fine i'm doing it now...£4.50 for 3 months now.
#13
Hmmm, i can sssure you the lady did indeed give me 2 months for free.

But if your getting £4.50 for 3 months then its not as bad as full price ?

Remind me how many HD channels you recieve? :-D

Espn is a rip of for freesat through a sky box they charge. 9.99. If you got all sky chanals. 12.99. If you got the cheeper chanals. And 16.99. If you got freesat so if you can get it cheeper with all sky chanals subscribed to then take as much off them as possible
#16
I got the 2 months free thing- good deal.

Virgin TV is better than sky - purely because it can be hacked! Free TV. LOVE IT!

Yes, i know a new encryption is coming out, but i am enjoying it while its lasting!

 Yes, same logic for why I like Tesco. Their security guards aren't up to much, so it is much easier to steal from them than my local Sainsburys.

Gotta love students! I guess you have never downloaded an MP3 in your life without paying for it.

Can't wait for 3D sports on TV

I doubt you actually have that deal as HD is £10p/m alone - but giving you the benefit of the doubt you can't call that the price. I couldn't call and get that price. 99.99% of other people couldn't either.

The argument was the price of HD anyway, mine costs nothing

Was that a permanent deal then or just some sort of introductory offer? My dad has been looking for a deal as good as yours, but to no avail.

Even still, the argument was again about the cost of HD, on Virgin it's free.

Nice one, just proved you are an utter tool with that comment. At least we get ESPN free anyway and not just for 2 months. It doesn't even seem like this is even a deal as only you got it.

You've been proved wrong on many occasions.

Anyone with half a brain would know sky is much, much better than virgin media.

You're sounding like an employee now of $ky. I've had both and prefer Virgin - there are pro's and cons for both, but the pro's on the side of Virgin are better for me tbh. Like I say, the Virgin On Demand is better than anything $ky can offer equivalently. Don't give me that about Sky Player either, I wanna watch TV in my living room on my TV, not on a pc screen - pretty unsociable.

Your wrong i phoned sky the only deal they have is espn half price ie £9 a months if you already pay for the full sky sports package
