Do it through topcashback and they are currently giving £5.05 for this - so they are paying you to havr ESPN for 3 months
[mod]#3
My interpretation of this is that you only get the 3 months free ESPN if you upgrade to a Sky Sports package?

yes you do you just need to give that notice period to cancel, if you dont then you'll need to pay £9 for that one month following.

ESPN at no extra cost for 3 months

Complete your sports line-up - get three months ESPN at no extra cost when you join Sky TV with, or upgrade to the Sports Pack. You can look forward to exclusively live games from the Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and more football besides.

Plus there's live and exclusive Aviva Premiership rugby, UFC, AFL, motorsport and the best sport from North America - also available in glorious high definition.

ESPN is £9 extra a month for Sky Sports subscribers.

Not sure who you spoke to, but if you have sky, then you can get it free for 3 months.

I called Sky, was offered this and they said that they would auto-cancel after 3 months so I wouldn't even need to cancel myself.

I also asked for a discount as I am on the full package and said my circumstances had changed and I couldn't afford full package cost anymore. They kept me on the full package but gave me a £13 a month discount for 12 months.
#22
Just got the offer when I rang to cancel the 2 months worth of free Movies

Free for 12 months with Virgin!! ;-)
its part of their xl pack

I was going to take this offer up. In the small print i read something about you having to give 31 days notice to cancel...however if you cancel the package in the first 3 months then you have to pay the full price for all 3 months. i may have got this wrong but this would suggest to me that you can get the 3 months free however you will have to pay for the 4th month.

If this is wrong please let me know as our year is up on sky soon and if we are going to get this added might as well have a go at getting some discount

I'd have to agree with you there. Sky have left it open to interpretation here:

" If you change your option during the offer period, you’ll pay the full current monthly price for your new option."

Perhaps it's if one downgrades from sky sports? I dunno....

I confirmed with lass I spoke to that I had to cancel within 31 days of the free period ending so I would not be charged and she confirmed I had to ring on Oct 14 to cancel so there would be no charge

Has anyone done this who was already on a special offer? I'm on a 6 months half-price deal but wouldn't want to find that terminated if I take up free ESPN. (I did see the post where someone got free ESPN for 3 months plus a monthly discount in the same phone call, but that might be regarded as a single offer)
#30
I've just completed this online - how is this cold?!

"Syzable - Aug 14, 2011 20:50 - 1 person likes this

Someone did from what I read.

You aren't entering into a contract - so you can cancel tomorrow if you want. So I can't see how this would effect your montly bill.

Afterall, aren't we all cancelling after 2 months anyway?

On a side note - friend at work did this a while ago and after the 3 months he was offered it for £4 a month which he took.

Looking at the schedule, can't see me keeping it.

good deal, you can upgrade online for free for 3 months, I already subscribe to sky sports.
#34
its a scam, just trying to get you to sign up to the full sky ports package, people who dont have the sky sports already cant get this offer, utter crap
#35
Have 12 months half price just phoned up and got the 3 months free no hassle and kept my existing deal. Cheers
#36
Anything for people who actually subscribe to ESPN in the first place?
#37
Anyone got this offer lately?
I've got all sports channels.
I'm sure the link to Sky website stated it was for existing customers but doesn't seem to state that now?

Don't bother, I've just rang up and she said the offer has finished....typical
