while these may be fine if you have a large garden it's often better to pay more and get dwarf rootstock. The ones on sale like this can be 30 feet, even if they claim to be dwarf.

I have no idea how one of these trees will bring a flash of colour to a winter garden as stated in the Aldi advert! They will have no leaves and no fruit and have the same colour bark as most of the other deciduous trees at that time of year! It is stretching poetic license to the extreme.

My Aldi ones died, I get better results getting from a garden centre in soil.

Ditto Lidl - it had rust

It's still snowing - doesn't seem like time to think about the garden. Night time temps are still going below freezing up here, so they'd probably die.

I bought two last year, they died

Are these the same as Lidl are doing from Thursday, 2 for £10?
Are these supposed to fruit this year, if they don't die that is?

Same here.
Was left with a limp stick which the cat used as a scratching post.

Unless the £3.99, which it left in Aldi, belongs to the Fruit Tree. ;-)

No surprises why they are dying, they're past sell by date surely at 2 yrs old. Hence the low prices. :)
