Really good deal, just as I had been thinking about trying to see some live cricket to see if it's a sport I could take to (as a spectator!). A bit too far from me, but I wonder if any other counties do similar offers.
cheaper than night nurse :D
Rain stopped play is my prediction
Good deal. Voted hot and let's see the crowds back in the grounds.
Wow, this is amazing...more so cos the crowd get to watch the mighty Lancashire :p

May be worth putting the following in your post sonyshocking which is included on the day:-

"Cricket Coaching
Visit the Cricket Factory
Ground tours
The Smoothie Bike Face painting and bouncy castle
Drumming workshop
Autograph signing sessions

All gate receipts will be donated to the Trent Bridge Community Trust"

Bit late, but its live on youtube as well: Your text here
I'm not a Celtic fan but if I was in the area & was stuck for something to do with kids, I'd take them.

I guess a lot of the replies are from armchair plastic fans who only know of football via Sky, and it's plastic hype machine
Voted cold because Celtic :p

Is this to do with oyston mate.

It is yes

https://www.facebook.com/events/1896814833897765/?ti=icl
Do you own both teams for the fiver ?
What a pathetic statement lanc1979. They dont own vast swathes of Blackpool. They have an Estate agency of same name and that also suffers. Buying a new build home from a developer or another agent has no bearing on Oystons. Direct action against their match day revenue is very effective. The financial pressure is building with the court cases brought by Belekon. The Tangerine Knights are doing a sterling job in flushing this effluent from Blackpool FC
The football club isn't all the Oystens own; you'd have to stop spending money in the Blackpool area as they own everything. Shops, estate agents, land (so don't buy any new build houses)...
Never forgive - Never forget. A club that has sued its fanbase and made the single biggest ever payment to a Director in the sum of £11million to convicted criminal Owen J Oyston - friend of Stuart Hall.

Quality football and Brighton don't really go together.

The fact they are top of the League and were the best performing team in England in 2016 prove you very wrong :{

What a plonker.

Please get real here - the price might be good, but how many seasons have Huddersfield spent in the top flight since 1975 (date chosen roughly at random) ? In other words, how many of their shirts will you see walking around places like Glasgow, Bristol, or even Norwich ?
This is a great price for those of you who live locally and support your local team, but even Leeds will still have fans outside of Yorkshire, and could probably get the same kind of support as Man City (a team who also went down a long way) if they had a few good runs.......but please don't tell me Huddersfield, Brighton, Palace etc could muster mega crowds in the near future, or get enough sponsorship money to become a global force.
It might be sad compared to 'the good old days', but the global market with all the television rights, merchandising and so on is where the money is, and it's that money you need to stay in Champions League contention, which in turn enables the fans to get some lovely foreign 'holidays'.
How many fans travel to your midweek away games on a wet January night, or go to away pre-season friendlies in Europe ? I've done both of those and met up with hundreds of others having a brilliant time away from the muppets.
I started following my team when they were in the old second division and stood on many cold wet terraces wondering if I'd get back safely to the station after the game, so not a glory hunter by any means.
Anyway, the world has changed, so enjoy your cheap night out all of you, and start saving your money in case you get promoted !

Chill Winston.
I'm a Forest fan and had a season ticket for 20 years from 1992 to 2010-11 season. This included the dizzy heights of being in the QF of the Eufa Cup to being in L1 for a couple of seasons!
So I will not be going to this game no matter how much they charge but can appreciate a deal when I see it.

I will be returning when my 2 kids that I have had recently are old enough to appreciate it......if we can afford it.
Great stuff. My team Royals/Reading have been doing offers too exactly like this, plus they charge £20 max for away supporters. Then we played Manure in our worst performance of the season by a mile - who wanted a crazy £46 a ticket for the fa cup game - we took 6K fans but wouldve taken 10K+ but loads of fans boycotted it...and they wonder why other fans hate them - t***ers

All teams have their time in the spotlight
Huddersfield were first team to do back to back top flight championships and only Man U, Liverpool and arsenal have done it since

As for travelling abroad

I do that with my mates once or twice a year and we'll watch foreign teams

Who wants to go to Spain / Italy / turkey were you can easily get stabbed

As for you money comment

The Huddersfield chairman is probably one of the richest English owners in the football leagues including premiership.. he sold his last business for a third of a billion

Unfortunately or sensibly he doesnt throw money down the drain and he treats the fans well..

If Huddersfield get promoted he's promised £100 seasons tickets for all loyal fans who have a season ticket for every years he's been there

Boycotting because of PL teams ... if only - firstly it's their U21 teams and secondly all the top PL teams opted out so they had to add championship teams - we (Bristol Rovers) got Reading U21s. Result attendance was 1600 compared to over 3000 for 1st round vs Wycombe last year and 10,000 for both previous two league one games (and even 4500 for preseason friendly vs Aston Villa). Hopefully this is just a one year experiment which will be quietly abandoned.
eragon999
Don't knock the competition, this used to be the Johnstone Paint Trophy which Luton won a few years ago, taking 40,000 fans to Wembley.

That's exactly why this is a great competition, it gives lower league teams a realistic chance of reaching a Wembley final, the introduction of Premier League U23 teams makes this less likely and devalues the competition.

Having said that it is a good deal but I can't bring myself to vote hot for something which I think is damaging to lower league football.

we pay for it to be built and now we pay to enter it?
Are you saying that you want your 10p back?
I reckon it cost more than £6.5m to build somehow...

Obviously you don't know about the retractable seating that goes over the running track.

West Ham have played a blinder with this. the stadium will net them more money, more publicity and a greater following
They have to fill it first. They aren't a big London team so them attracting a following outside of travellers camps is unlikely. :P

The stadium is already sold out with season tickets and that's after the capacity has already been increased from the original amount.

I do love the bitterness. We've had some luck and have taken full advantage of it. A club on the up.

And for everyone moaning that they paid for the stadium. We all may have contributed to the stadium but the stadium is still in the hands of the taxpayer and will actually turn a profit with all the other events that will go on throughout the year. Better that then the stadium sitting dormant losing money so you should really think twice about starting that argument.

Wouldn't hurt to put dates, times, transport links, links to info on the OP really. Bit sparse!
Yeah OP. Can you please PM me to ask what dates etc I'm available for. Check availability and broker a ticket purchase for me.
As it is I can't be bothered to click the Ticketmaster link and find out myself.
It's standard practice to offer at least some information, go back under your bridge.
Ok so it listed cost, where to buy tickets, mention who was playing and what the competition was.
If you ask me, for anyone who is interested, that would be enough info to then look into it further.

As for my bridge, I will not tell you how to find it, get your own. Though if you get a good deal, you could share it to increase your batting average.....oh welcome to my ignore list, oh self entitled one.

Great deal, best away side last season that hammered my team at home, they were excellent to watch.
Is this Huddersfield you talking about?

Yes Huddersfield, played really good, on the deck football, completely gave us (Forest) a footballing lesson. I'll be honest we didn't know much about their manager at the time and I thought we would turn them over quite easily, but they were in my mind the best team to visit us last season and i would happily fork out £179 if they played like that all the time.
£149 for the second season at Bradford City down the road, yes the league below but winning football not relegation dodging X)

Rugby is the best. You have a Palace avatar, so I guess you like poncy football? Well rather than watching a bunch of overpaid nancies try their best to pretend to be hurt rather than play the game, you could be watching a bunch of real men actually play the game and pretend not to be hurt just so they can carry on.
Faster paced, far more exciting game and well worth a watch. I am guessing you are in London, in which case get over and watch Bronco's at some point!! Not Super League but will still be a decent game
OK thanks so after all that is the answer yes to this deal
I like both football and rugby league. Given the choice footy wins though but rugby league is great entertainment and much better than rugby union. The Challenge Cup final is a fantastic day out so yeah, go treat the family. And I can't believe I'm being nice to a Palace fan 3 hours ahead of the game tonight. Come on City!!

Thanks for the comment and i wont talk about football

Well rather than watching a bunch of overpaid nancies try their best to pretend to be hurt rather than play the game, you could be watching a bunch of real men actually play the game and pretend not to be hurt just so they can carry on.
Faster paced, far more exciting game and well worth a watch. I am guessing you are in London, in which case get over and watch Bronco's at some point!! Not Super League but will still be a decent game

OK thanks so after all that is the answer yes to this deal

Thank you, have ordered. Husband assures me it's a great day even if you support nobody in particular!
