My girfriend works at Sainsburys head office and just sent me this info

From tomorrow we are running a seven day market leading Only £10 promotion on 4175636 Etienne Dumont Champagne . This line is currently on a half price deal (£27.99-£13.99) on Grocery plinth 2, and the offer will be up-weighted to Only £10 from tomorrow. The deal is supported by national press. Additional stocks have been allocated to support the stunt.

I just can't be bothered with half price champagne when the quality of 'lesser breed' sparking wine is to all intents and purposes just as good and half the price of half price champagne. A while back Sainsburys were doing a McGuigan's (?) sparkling white that tasted fantastic for under a fiver a bottle.

Great price for fizz. Head&Rep - Cheers ! Hic ...

We bought 6 bottles today - and got 5% off as well. We also had a £7.50 off a £50 shop (which you get on the back of till receipt) as we'd already bought some shopping, so OH went back in and bought the champers using the money off receipt so we got 6 bottles for £49.50 which works out £8.25 a bottle. Bargain!

Also got another £7.50 off coupon on the back of that receipt which we can use again.

I agree m&s cave is great and when they have 2 for £10 and 25% off 6 bottles it works out at £2.50 a bottle. but this is still a very good deal to give as presents espically wedding anniversarys even though cava is just as good you look tight giveing it as a gift

Sainsbury's using the England Football Team to market something which they've bought at that price already!

I'd Wait!

No, it doesn't!
2 for £10 = £5 per bottle.
(or £30 for 6 bottles)
25% off £5 = £3.75 per bottle
(or 25% off £30 is £22.50, making each bottle £3.75)

This is actually an ok champagne and better that the very poor M&S cava someone mentioned, that stuff is rough.

As daniel says above,
Actually works out like this:

6 bottles of Cava (Brut / Medium Dry) @ £7.49 = £44.94
Less 25% = - £11.22
Less 2 for £10 = - £4.98
Less 2 for £10 = - £4.98
Less 2 for £10 = - £4.98

TOTAL TO PAY = £18.78 (£3.16 per bottle)

most london simply foods and m&s railway stations cava is £8.00 bottle
6 bottles at £8.00 = £48
less 25% = £12
less 2 for £10 = £6 x 3 = £18

total to pay = £18 = £3 bottle
