I bought a pair that looked just like that a while back, £3.99 I think they were...cheapo hong kong jobbies
And yes, they did a great job of keeping sound out and are the only earphones I've ever had that didn't fall out.

This price is a joke.

I love how people vote cold because they don't see a point in quality headphones.

I thought Hot UK Deals was more about posting deals that are the cheapest around for that particular product. :?

Guess i won't post anything like this again eh!

I am a fan of that style earphone. Like I said, I had a pair that looked identical and I loved them.
Just think the price is a joke.

People love quality headphones, but the fact is they are not worth the £58 price tag. They are standard £5 earphones with 2 extra rubber cups on the end.

I'll have a look around, see if I can find the ones I bought (although it was about 2 years ago, and I bet Etymotic reckon this style earphone is a 'new innovation').

If you can find the ones you bought i'd love a pair to compare!

and if they sound similar i'll be shocked but equally impressed!

you say you bought £3.99 ones that look the same, so how do you know the 6ri's are 'standard' £5 ones but with cups on?
even if they look the same does not make them the same? it is the drivers and such in them that make the difference, you (well maybes not you) buy earphones for their performance not by how they look surely.

Etymotic ER-6i earphones get good reviews at a lot higher prices - maybe not as cheap as Jukkie's £3.99 chinese copies but then they're not cheap chinese copies are they :whistling: Hot from me.

You just have to accept that people who have zero knowledge about some products still feel the need to comment and vote. It's perfectly clear to anyone who has any experience of real headphones that 'standard £5.00 ones' are very poor indeed. Thanks for the post and keep doing it, some informed people will appreciate it.

Please dont go let people voting cold put you off, If that happened no one would post anything ,nice find at a nice price,The strange thing is people voted something through the roof on here the other night even though it had never even been in stock,I really think people just sit here clicking without even reading the posts,

Agreed, way too many trigger happy voters.
As I previously stated. Whether people think the headphones are worth the money is kinda irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that you cannot find Etymotic ER-6i headphones anywhere else for this price therefore surely it's a hot deal.

Thanks alot to both of you.
After all this was the first deal I have posted. You'd think people would go easy eh!

unfortunately, the negative comments sum up the attitude of the 'ipod generation' (style over substance) - it's just sad that so many feel the need to be negative about something they obviously know so little about....great price for a quality product - if I hadn't already got a good set of Shure headphones, I'd have gone for this - keep up the good work OP....

Which Shures do you have?

I've got the e3c's (which luckily I managed to buy at quite a discount a few years ago - they're approx £100 nowadays) - I've also got a great pair of Sennheiser HD600s (but they're a bit big for wearing out of the house!)

Nice and very nice..

I'm still debating what to buy, (i found this deal whilst hunting / comparing today)

It's between these.
Some Klipsch Custom-1's
http://www.datakits.co.uk/store/klipsch-custom1-high-performance-noiseisolating-in-ear-headpho-p-5074.html?language=en#googlebase

Or some Shure SE210-N's
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3438216/Shure-SE210-N-Sound-Isolating-Earphones/Product.html

I've had Shure E2C's before and did like them. But the other 2 brands get very good reviews also...

those klipsch were about £20 on amazon not long ago, I made my housemate buy them. I got the shure se110 from play when they were massively reduced on play.com I think they were about £20 aswell. But I hear the etymotic's are the best in this price range for all round highs/mids/bass from a guy that tried all of these and a few others (but not the se210's).

but different ppl like different things, I don't think you'll go wrong with any of these really, so go with the ones you like the look of if you can't decide, you'll only waste time reading mostly rubbish reviews with ppl taking it too seriously. the fit will make most difference to your sound reproduction in the end

about the 6ri's, the wires are really thin when you compare it to the wires of shures. so if you do go for them be careful how you store them, i damaged the wire in the left phone after 2 years of use. other people got the same too.

tropicana; have you considered s-jays? they are £40. not sure what they are like though but i do have a pair of jays and like them.

Awesome. I have requested the discount code.
Expanding the range is only making my choice harder

well done on reaching 100.

expanding the choices definately does not help lol, it took me 2 weeks of late night researching to make my choice but i'm pretty tight with cash and won't spend it on just anything.
good luck with your choice

Hey there, great spot on these phones. Heat.

For those of you who drive motorbikes and use an autocom comms kit, these phones are the beez-kneez for a cut a splice job to use instead of the standard "speakers" that blast your ear and don't seal the sound. Google is your friend on how to do it (really, REALLY simple) and it'll save your ears. You only end up turning the volume on them and blasting your ears, as if helmet noise isn't damaging enough for your ear (read: Tinitus). These fellas you can pop in, have everything on low volume and enjoy the music, chat AND hear the traffic around you (major point of concern when blasting your ears with speakers).

Either way, hope someone finds this comment/deal useful.

Tropicana, I have a pair of Klipsch custom ones boxed and ready if you'd want. £35 postage and their yours with an extra spare pair of L rubber pieces. I registered them for which you get them free. Nice bit of proof your getting the real deal :)

PM me if your interested.

2 Degrees ONLY?

For shame...for shame.

It's sad how people here do not treat their ears with more respect. Funny how most people shoot their mouths off...with little knowledge of the matter at hand. Ah well. Ignorance is bliss eh?

H&R coming your way mate. We need more posts like these for proper audiophiles. Not the look-at-me-and-my-white-buds generation. Heh.
