Was in Meadowhell today and the Millets store there is about to close down - according to the bloke there 90-odd Millets and Blacks stores are about to shut, and those that have had the misfortune are all discounting their items.
Virtually nothing left in the shop, just a few rails of clothes (got a pair of O'Neill salopettes for £6, had been over £100!), some kids shoes, and a large stack of sleeping bags.
A few models were available, but I got two Eurohike 200 Mummy sleeping bags for £7.49 each, which was 70% off the marked price of £24.99. Seemed like a pretty good price - don't know how good they are for proper wilderness campers, but for my kids in the garden they'll do fine rightly.
Won't be at every store, but maybe worth checking if your local has reductions?
Before you ring to badger your nearest branch about the bargains they've got, remember that the poor folk working there are about to lose their jobs just before Christmas.
