Also please note that there have been rumours that the next "Prince of Persia" title ("The Forgotten Sands") will have a Collector's/Special/Limited Edition release that contains a redeemable code for downloading "Prince of Persia Classic".

The title is currently scheduled for a European (including UK) release on 20 May 2010.

Nice one, I think I'll pick up Gravity Crash and Trine possibly too.

Trine is excellent, you won't regret buying it. I am about half way through it at the moment, and have enjoyed every minute.
#5
Yes, Trine is excellent. I bought it last time on offer.
#6
I didn't like the Trine demo, but really enjoyed the Gravity Crash demo so will definitely be getting that. Heat added.
#7
I may also pick up Gravity Crash, as I enjoyed the demo. There is an interesting Q&A with the developers at The Average Gamer:

http://www.theaveragegamer.com/2009/11/21/gravity-crash-developer-q-a-part-i/

(there are also some good pics of the MAG launch event on the site as well - which I was lucky enough to take part in)

The European PlayStation Store has had an offer on "Inferno Pool" but nothing for "Hustle Kings" except...

Previously: "Hustle Kings – Time Savers Pack" (£1.19/€1.49)
Today: "Hustle Kings – Hex Crazy Pack" (FREE!)

PS. I update a thread (at AVForums.com) with snippets of information throughout the week regarding upcoming PlayStation Network titles...

The PSN Weekly Update Thread - Part 2 - AVForums.com

Unfortunately I cannot access the AVForums.com domain at present (due to Firewall/Proxy restrictions). If you are a member of that site you can visit the thread & search for "Hustle Kings" to see if anything pops up in past "Heads-Up" listings transposed there.

BFN,

fp.

[EDIT]:
PS. Cold voting... down to 58 degrees from 65 in the last few minutes; but no explanation why.

Please post a reason if voting cold. Thanks.

Hot here, may get Trine, Gravity Crash and POP.
#12
For those considering Trine, I picked it up for £8.99 in the new year sale and it is an excellent title. Well worth it for under a tenner.

I'm tempted by Gravity Crash.

Has anyone ever bought something from psn store and not had purchase history for it.?
Whats worse is that there is no file either since updating (I know I bought it and downloaded it)(even though i said I would never update to lose other Os ( Linux) I decided I was wrong and by not doing I would not have lost it So I could never set up a claim against Sony (If I wanted to) / for removing the advertised open platform)

It did say to backup and format the whole drive before proceeding with the update but I was never going to do that.

I hope I understood what you typed correctly...

I can use any PS3 console with my PlayStation Network Account details & review all the purchases (cost options, or free) that I have made since registering. On any console I can (re-)download the same content again. Formatting your hard drive will not remove this list; it is stored centrally with your Account information.

You can also review the list of previously purchased items via the dedicated PlayStation Network Account configuration (secure) site:

The pool game I asked about earlier Hustle Kings
#18
My PS3 is offline at the moment since Sony patched the proxy loophole and I refuse to upgrade to the latest version so they won't be getting any of my money for a while unfortunately.
#19
As Phony have forced me and many others to decide on either "Install other OS" or "PSN" , we cannot purchase any more PSN Content.

Voted Cold.

Shame on you Phony you've lost many a good customer.

I am playing demon's soul at the moment I don't mind waiting to see if a custom firmware comes out.

The problem is that you shouldn't really need to install a CFW and risk a console ban just to retain usage of a function which is listed within the product manual.

Personally I blame George Hotz for all of this but Sony's response has been pureile to say the least.
#24
All four DLC for Valkyria Chronicles are also on reduction till 29th I believe, there didn't seem to be much of a spot light given to imo such a good game. I want to push this a little so we get the 2nd in the EU, I believe it didn't get great sales over here. :/
* Challenge of Edy (was – £3.19/€3.99 now – £1.99/€2.49)
* Selverias Mission (was – £3.19/€3.99 now – £1.99/€2.49)
* Hard Ex Mode (was – £3.19/€3.99 now – £1.99/€2.49)
* Edy’s Mission (was – £3.19/€3.99 now – £1.99/€2.49)

Also Trine is £4.25 on Steam for anyone that has windows and a half decent computer

I have gotten a partial refund on mine so if it comes to it I will have 2 choices:
1. No cfw comes out I update and try and forget and think hey I got this extra money.
2. CFW comes out, I use it and everything is fine or I get banned and use it for only offline games + ps2 + linux and buy a slim or xbox 360.
#26
Any of those PSP ones worth getting?
I'm looking for something as I bought a PSP a few weeks ago and only have FFVII and Crisis Core.
#27
Not really no, get Chains of Olympus instead.
#28
How much did you get if you don't mind me asking pm if you don't want to say on here or sorry for asking :lol

Who from, and for how much?

Re the deal itself, I really want to hit hot, but am voting lukewarm. There's precious little here

Did you all pick up the free mini with issue 2 of Firstplay (0.99p)?

If they banned my console then I would just stick with XBL since I have a 360 as well and Live is the better, if not more expensive and slightly flakier, service.

I'm playing Abe's Odyssey which is a PS1 game and was available in the last store update. £3.99 and you can play it on PS3 or PSP, looks good on the latter.
#32
I have a PS3, and an Xbox, I buy tons of Arcade games on the Xbox, but because of the badly thought out PSN store i've bought barely any PSN games.

What do you not like about the PlayStation Store, or what do you think Xbox LIVE does better/differently?

BFN,

Some people are interested in knowing so I will say.
Tesco gave me a refund of reduced function (they valued it by the cost of a laptop - cost of windows os) = 147.89 refund.

Its just very badly laid out, on Xbox theres a good chance you can go to the demos section and find a demo of the game you're after. And then almost every Arcade game has a free demo to play too. Thats really valuable. On the PS3 it always feels like a gamble and a risk at getting shafted. Why does "Flower" have no demo? I want to try it, but im not going to sink ££ into a mystery game. How lazy of sony to not provide a demo.

I dont know, i just think such a massive gaming company should have a much better experience, it feels flaky. Its been 4-5 years, they've had plenty of time but they've wasted it on Home and other useless bits.

Its a shame, because the actual PS3 interface is great, its just the store that sucks

PSN does have gameshare though. Price 1/5th if you have a good group.

I would strongly advise not to use the so-called "Game Sharing" facility.

Once somebody has control over your PlayStation Network Id they can change the associated e-mail address, create sub-accounts off the master account, reset the e-mail address & hand back control to you.

Unless you specifically look for this activity the first you will know about it is when the sub-account is created & associated on another PS3 console & (if a monthly spending limit has not been imposed on the sub-account) you receive an e-mail informing you that a charge has been made to your credit card for activity on the account.

Your pre-loaded wallet balance can be empty very quickly, and if you have requested "automatic top-up" of wallet funds then your entire credit card balance is at risk.

fp.
