First Capital Connect Promotion Terms and Conditions

(of which there are many!)

1. By applying for tickets under this promotion, the applicant will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and to be bound by them.

2. To qualify for this promotion, applicants must be aged 18 or over and be United Kingdom residents.

3. Bookings may be made through http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/latest_deals/FCC/2for90.jsp or by calling the Eurostar Contact Centre on 08705 186 186 from Tuesday the 5th of February 2008 until Tuesday the 4th of March 2008 inclusive. Bookings may be made online at any time during this period, with the exception of any times that maintenance may need to take place. Bookings may be made by telephone between the hours of 8am-9pm Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm on Saturdays and 9am-5pm on Sundays and UK bank holidays. Telephone bookings will incur a £5 booking fee.

4. This promotion is limited to one booking per applicant. Multiple applications will not be allowed, but one single application may include travel for up to 9 people in standard class on the same route, at the same time on the same date on the outbound and inbound journeys.

5. Additional tickets above 2 and up to a maximum of 9 per application may be purchased under this promotion at a cost of £45 per additional ticket.

6. All travellers in each booking must travel together in standard class from St Pancras International or Ebbsfleet International to Paris, Brussels (any Belgian station), Calais or Lille and return to the point of departure, or from Ashford International to Paris or Lille and return to the point of departure. Connecting trains in Brussels on the outbound and inbound journey must be taken within 24 hours of arrival in Brussels and excludes the Thalys and ICE services.

7. Bookings must be made between the 5th of February and the 4th of March 2008 inclusive and at least 14 days prior to departure, but may not be made more than 120 days prior to the return travel date.

8. This promotion is subject to availability and levels of availability to all destinations may change. In this respect, availability for travel using tickets under this promotion is limited for each train. Some trains may not be available for travel under this promotion; some trains may already be full and consequently no seats will be available for this promotion. This is more likely on Fridays after midday, Saturday mornings, Sundays after midday and holiday periods.

9. Payment for tickets under this promotion may only be made by credit or debit card. Eurostar accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Switch, Visa Electron, Delta and Solo cards. Payment by cash or cheque will not be accepted.

10. Tickets will be mailed out within 10 days of receipt of payment only to UK addresses or can be collected from the SST machines or tickets desks at Eurostar terminals.

11. There are no promotional reductions for children who must travel at the adult rate under this promotion or refer to Eurostar points of sale for child fares.

12. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Bookings made prior to this promotion for travel during the period of this promotion cannot be exchanged or refunded for any ticket acquired under this promotion. This promotion cannot be combined with hotel and car hire. Applicants are free to book hotels and hire cars separately but this will not form part of this promotion and no refunds of any difference in price will be given.

13. The promotion does not include any incidental costs including, but not limited to, accommodation, meals, drinks, transfers, telephone calls, travel insurance or the cost of local travel at the chosen destination.

14. Applicants must comply with all relevant customs and immigration requirements, including the appropriate passport and visa requirements. Neither Eurostar Group Limited nor Eurostar (U.K.) Limited will be responsible for any passenger’s failure to comply. Travellers are strongly advised to take out adequate travel insurance.

15. All bookings and travel must originate from, and return to, St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International or Ashford International Eurostar stations.

16. No alterations, refunds or exchanges will be permitted once the reservation has been accepted.

17. Eurostar does not undertake to issue duplicate tickets to replace lost, stolen or mislaid tickets.

18. Eurostar (U.K.) Limited Special Conditions of Carriage apply to travel on Eurostar trains. Copies are available from Eurostar sales points or at www.eurostar.com.

19. Applicants and their travelling companions must check in at least 30 minutes before departure and may not be allowed to board the train if they do not do so. Eurostar will not be liable for any passenger failing to make the departure time indicated on their tickets.

20. Eurostar Group Limited and Eurostar (U.K.) Limited shall not be liable for any costs, claims, damages or loss occasioned by any failure, however caused, to fulfil the terms of this promotion.

21. Eurostar Group Limited and Eurostar (U.K.) Limited reserve the right to refuse to honour any application or to recover the full fare for any booking if it considers there has been an abuse of this promotion or breach of the terms and conditions of this promotion.

22. The decision of Eurostar Group Limited and Eurostar (U.K.) Limited in all matters under their respective control is final and binding.

23. All tickets offered under this promotion are compulsory returns and are non-exchangeable (i.e. no cash or other alternative will be offered instead of the tickets) and non-refundable and tickets may not be transferred to third parties. In the event of cancellation by applicants, for whatever reason, no refund or alternative tickets will be given. Once the bookings have been confirmed, reservations may not be changed.

24. The Promoter – First Capital Connect, of 50 Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington, London, W2 6LX.

Thanks.

Excellent Deal!!! Thanks :)

Thanks a lot - we were going to Paris at the May half term anyway and have just booked seats for two adults and two kids for less than the adult only fares - so saved money AND a more comfortable journey! Excellent deal..

Any nice hotel recomendation or where to stay that hs good retaurants and nightlife?
#7
Can anyone give me any dates where you can actually get this price?!!..I've tried loads of different dates but can't get anywhere near £90!!
#8
Some people have been having some problems with this.

It seems you have to actually click on the link to the deal. If you haven't visited Eurostar.com before then you won't have a cookie on your computer saying what region you live in. If you click book, you will need to select UK, but in the process of doing this it seems to forget you are booking a special offer.

Once you are into the Eurostar site, come back to this page and click the deal link again. Clicking through to the booking page then takes you through to a completely different page, where you can get the deals.

Hope that helps..

Remember if you book to Brussels it actually covers any railway station in Belgium. So you can travel to the likes of Bruges etc for the same price, you just show your Eurostar ticket.

I stayed at the Ibis just off the Place D'Italie last August, it was ideal for everything....and was about 80 euros (I think) a night.

Will children be ok with adult tickets?

I can get to Paris for £45, but NONE of the journeys back are available! even though it says high availability:?
Even if I try for just ONE ticket in HIGH availability it still comes up with 'computer says no':?
Shame cos I really fancied this.

For those having problems:

First of all select 2 passengers at the start as the offer is for 2 passengers.

Don't be put off by the fact that the return section of the journey is shaded out...This does NOT mean the fare is not available. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it should say £45 for outward leg..then click and the next page will allow you to select the £45 for the return jouney. £90 for 2 people. Simple

thanks humanracer....

If I book to go on Sun 23rd March there are outward tickets for £45 and if I choose to come back on Tues 25th there are return tickets for £45...Total £90.......

BUT if I try to book the same Sunday tickets but come back at a later date like Fri 28th they mysteriously go up from £45 to £89!!!
