Superb album, but surely it is their first album not their second???
Worth getting if only for Bring Me To Life.

And, yes, I'm sure this is their first album too.

Good price.

Ordered it from The Hut yesterday ... found it via a previous HUKD post.
Dispatched email arrived within 1.5hrs of purchase one!

"Fallen" is the band's first official commercial studio album.

Prior to this release they had issued the "Evanescence EP" (December 1998), the "Sound Asleep EP" / "Whisper EP" (August 1999), the "Mystary EP" (January 2003), & an album "demo" called "Origin" (November 2000) that contained three tracks later issued on their first commercial release ("Fallen"). This is probably why "Fallen" was listed as their "second album".

FYI: A discussion of a track that seems to be one of their most popular ("My Immortal") in this previous HotUKDeals.com thread:

Ordered, thanks
You can download the oop stuff from http://evanescencereference.info/music/ (link from the official forum).

Some reason the link doesn't work but if you copy/paste it into the address bar it will :)

Thanks very much for that, some interesting stuff there.
Amy Lee has the most astonishing voice.

At this price the album is a steal. I would also encourage you folks to check out anything you can find on YouTube, and to track down live and alternative versions of these songs because it's great to hear the different versions (eg. acoustic vs studio). I think I have five different versions of "My Immortal." on my MP3 player.

The two big hits on this album are:

Bring me to Life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpmSHb-aRB0

My Immortal:
Studio version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2qtDH21OOc&feature=related
But check out this live version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Y9ccRg7gw&feature=related

Both of these were used on TV shows, hence their relative fame. But one of my favourite tracks from this album is "Hello": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih61MJ72v1Y

They can be a bit Gothic, but I love to listen to this stuff after a few glasses of wine :-)

macgyvers child
Christian Rock?

Nah, it's the opera goth rock equivalent of redneck rock. Nickelback meets Enya, with a modern day would be gothic clothing look.
