Yeah I know what you mean. I'm in Whitley Bay which is a small coastal town near Newcastle upon Tyne. Flamin Cockneys get all the good stuff! :-D

Just turn up and grab a bargain![/COLOR]

Very funny, I don't think so. I find that rather an insulting way to treat potential customers: you'll buy what we've got rather than what you want and we're not telling you what we've got or how much we want for it. Cold for attitude.

That's wrong in my opinion...you vote for the overall experience...what's the point of having a great price if after sales is appaling, for example?

I think these 'UP TO xx%' in general should be banned by law.

Might as well post up to 100% reductions - just offer 5 biros for free and you're covered.

Tne rest of the stock could be reduced by just 2% but you've already got your misleading ad across.

Did you actually think about what you wrote? Or is that written as it came into your head? How hard is it to write properly? I think he knew exactly what the op meant, you however, appear to have missed the point and then proceeded to explain a simple concept in the worst way possible. Congrats.
#12
I went last year wasn't particularly impressed bikes had aroud 15% reductions and clothing/safety equipment was generally in xxs or xxl. They had Muc-off and WD40 at £1.50.

The staff have first pick of all the best bits. With that said it's still worth a look this year.

its writtern properly acutally, i explanied the simple concept to somone who needed it explained to them, he was slamming the company on how the have a cold attitude because of them promoting a sale, u clearly have missed the whole point mate, if you want gimme ur email and i can email you about it aswell
#14
I would like to see some more people on here or research into other bike forums about previous sales like this Evans have done before I pass judgement, unless local would be a ridiculous drive just to find stock with little off, clothing of extreme sizings etc etc etc, this is the problem with not having a stock list.

99.99% AGREE!!!

No callers, No advance stock list,.. its sounds like a :pirate:

Just turn up and grab a bargain!

I wish we live round the corner... but 99.99% of us have to use the car just to check IF there are some good deal.

I do not see the point of that! Particulary knowing the tag prices at Evans. Some companies still try to fish costumers around using such a "trick or treat" deals:viking:

Again you have unfortunately missed the point :(

Firstly, your reply was not written correctly. You have managed to use the wrong there/their a few times and in general the post sounds like it was written by a 10 year old (apologies if you are in fact 10). The second reply is equally as bad.

Secondly, as this offer is only available at Gatwick if someone is planning on travelling a long way they would be much better off phoning and checking stock/prices, rather than knowing that an arbitrary figure of -80% is being branded about. It was not the fact that they were promoting sale, it was the manner in which it was done.

Well considering English is not my first language I cant judge how good my English is but apparently you can, also your missing my point, I agree I would love to see a stock list and it is always better, but the point is and I will say it again, the original comment was that of a bad attitude, im arguing it is not right to slam the companies attitude on the fact of the above comments No callers,No advance stock list, Just turn up and grab a bargain!!!, im not going to go their and buy their bikes, if they had a stock list maybe I would, but I give them the benefit of the doubt that it is a huge sale and many companies operate in this way, that’s why my original comment of no one is forcing you to go down their to the person who rated the deal bad cos of bad attitude, you’ve jus gone completely of the point, and my second point was the majority of huge clearance sales they don’t even have stock list, read my earlier comment about clothes stores people travel all over without any idea if the products are good but apprenlty according to you that method is of bad attidue or mayb its business i dont think youre to judge. I hope my English is good enough for you to read

also if u actually look theirs a leaflet all about their products and how they are 50% lower and lots under costs price and many indications of how much products are reduced, if this is the first time you have seen a companies promote a sale like this im surprised, they give an indication of the type or price to expect or how much their cutting off standard prices, maybe its not even manually possible for them to give a exact price cos prices change according to how close the sale is to end, but apparently this is all bad attitude, that’s my point, you don’t get that, you need to wake up a bit

you are a moron. The whole point of these sales is to clear out old stock. Do you want them to sit and compile an absolutely gigantic list of things they have for sale to benefit the few people who will view it online? Maybe they should have someone manning the phones and running around checking stock levels as their warehouse is overwhelmed with customers who need served too.

Companies like Debenhams and the like do this sort of thing on a regular basis. It is a waste of time, effort and money providing every detail about a sale. Either deal with it or deal without
