Very hard to justify sinking your time in to any new American show these days, especially scfi which seems to get cancelled more than other shows, oh well at least they can keep making two and a half men :(
So very true. The problem with American networks is that they are too rash to cancel shows without giving them chance to create a fanbase. If the figures aren't there immediately they just shut the whole thing down.
FastForward was a prime example, just as that was getting interesting that was also cancelled.
Sadly it's a completely different audience over there and TV is very, very dumbed down and only occasionally does a good one sneak through, such as "Homeland" (which wasn't even an original idea anyway).
When I lived in LA I despaired at the amount of crap on TV and yet the rubbish gained huge moronic following.
Oh well.
Great price, but shame there won't ever be a follow up.
Ordered, thanks for the post :)

Bit of a shame it got cancelled...same happened with Flash Forward!

I agree - I no longer watch them until they've reached a conclusion and come out in a full boxed set. Bit of a pain to avoid spoilers until then, but less of a pain than, say, watching 3 seasons of the excellent Deadwood, then it being cancelled without reaching a conclusion.
I'd rather have my gums tattooed than watch Two And A Half Men, or How I Met Your Mother, or those other dead horses they're insistent on trying to flog back to life...
With the irony being that they are unlikely to ever reach conclusion unless we watch them as they are broadcast - or rather American audiences

I'm still annoyed they canned Journeyman (almost 21st century Quantum Leap) and Defying Gravity. Grrrr. Makes you wonder why anyone in America bothers to watch when shows are dropped so easily.
I disagree wholeheartedly with the sentiment that most US series aren't worth watching because they'll eventually get cancelled. As long as you're getting enjoyment out of actually watching it, it's more than worth it. Besides, that sort of mindset would see you missing out on great stuff like Firefly, and that'd be very foolish indeed.
Worth a BitTorrent d/l but not 10 squids.
45p per episode in FullHD, plus you could re-sell it on ebay after watching it thereby making it around 20p each. Compared to illegally stealing it and risking a stiff fine or prison, not to mention the immorality I think a tenner ain't too bad (especially as you say it is a "great series")
