+ £9 for P&P, forgot to add

Not sure this deal is worth it really considering Nvidia are releasing the 400 series later this month and you can now get the 5850 for under £200 with Direct X 11 capabilities and GRID 2 free.

Not a bad price, i have a GTX260 which is more than capable of playing the latest games. Dx11 cards are coming through at some good prices though, but not many games have support for em yet.

Just not a big fan of overclockers, the prices they sometimes advertise are good, just hope nothing goes faulty because the support and service i got off them was laughable, seem to be ran by an uncaring bunch of individuals. I would never buy from them again.

Pretty decent price, but with DX11 on the back of everyones mind i think this price would have to come down a wee bit more for people to buy previous gen technology.

Its shocking that you can get a GTX 200 for sub 200, i remember shelling out nearly £250 for a 8800 GTS 2 and a bit years ago!

agreed:thumbsup:
but seems all rma are dealt with evga directly in Germany. Looks like ocuk dont care about customer service at all this time! :-D although I think legally these shops have to offer 1 year rtb

overclockers are notorious for bad customer service, just look at their ratings on google...

Not good enough in my opinion.

they also heavily police their own forum, deleting any threads and posts that complain about anything to do with their service.

you've been warned.

Terrible retailer. To anyone that orders from them, expect to see your graphics card shipped inside its original box which is then placed inside another box the size of a coffin without any other packaging. Bunch of cowboys.
#9
Whilst a certain competitor will stick a OEM HDD in bubble wrap and a plastic bag, much better (£7.50 p&p my ass)....

I prefer a box that you can see the condition before accepting the delivery rather than a bashed city link bag (should see the state of my i5 750 retail box). Thanks Aria for the great deal, but I have decent free shipping with OCuk so sticking with them.

Plus my mate just sent a hd4890 for RMA with OCuk, and you should have seen the state the card was in. No hassle he got a HD5770 in return which is fair.

Never had any problems with customer service myself, usually amazingly fast delivery, and free delivery (for me)
#11
Personally never had anything but excellent service from them.
#12
Good pice, however i have had this card before and a ati 4890 after trying both of then i decided to keep the ati, which seemed better for some reason and much cheaper..

so choose wisely

Would get this for one of my older pcs....however the geforce 260 doesnt fit on the botherboard as one stupid pin gets in the way. This will probably be bigger knowing nvidia....for frog's sake.

i went for the ati 5770 xxx from oc @ £119.99, cracking price, beats my brothers card (5850) on Bad company 2 hands down

I totally agree, I had the misfortune of experiencing their customer service yesterday. I purchased a edimax router which turned out to be faulty. I returned it to the shop on the same day of purchase and I had to agree to a £10 + vat charge if no fault was found, they then gave me a slip of paper stating that it could take up to 7 days to test. I asked them if they could test it while I waited as every trip I made to the store took 1 hour and that the fault was very obvious and that it would only take 2 minutes to test. They moaned and whinged but agreed to test it but said that I would have to wait 30 minutes. Two hours later and they finally tested the router which took them 2 minutes. They then said that the router was indeed faulty, but what really p****d me off was that they looked disappointed when they said it. Absolutely shocking customer service, in fact the worst that I have ever experienced. My advice is do not buy from them, they do not deserve to be in business.

I do not understand why we should buy history. Directx 11 is now the one to go for.

Reminds me about this indian shop in London i went to a couple of years ago. Paid £480 for a graphics card after specifically telling them about my desktop and it's size. At the time the guy recommended a card I forget, and said this one was specifically made for the dell I owned. I got home to find that the card did not fit however. So I ended up taking it back to the shop which was 2 hours away from where I lived (and travel in london is not easy or fast), only to have to end up agreeing to pay them an £80 stocking fee. The worst part is I had no choice and had to pay it because the guy who recommended the card to me was not in, and until he came back after his "vacation" to india which they said could take anywhere between 2-4 weeks, they would not take back the card for a full refund. The worst part is on my way back I saw the guy going into the shop, by which time I was too ticked off to bother. I think he was the shop owner's son, or somehow related, as it seemed to be a family run business. They all were indian british.

how's it possible a 5770 xxx can be better than a 5850 on any game (other than using less power and being quieter) ?

.. i've just built my father a new pc with a 5770 and found it way tooo slow to run many games at 1900x1200 (which isnt an issue for him) wheras my 5850 toxic will power through everything ive thrown at it at this res (incl crysis) with all the candy switched on
