Evil Dead 2 is a sophisticated blood and gore satire with wall-to-wall special effects that concentrates on the classic conflict between good and evil.

In an apparently forsaken cottage, Ash and Linda discover a tape recorder. They turn it on to hear the voice of Professor Knowby, who has successfully translated 'The book of the dead.' His words awaken the spirit of evil, possessing Linda. Ash begins his relentless battle against an all-powerful evil that takes many forms including the trees, Linda's decapitated head and even his own hand.

When evil appears to get the upper hand it is left to Ash to don a chainsaw and shotgun and rid the world of the demon spirit by dawn.

Following a harrowing night of demonic possession and slapstick antics in EVIL DEAD II, unassuming store clerk Ash (Bruce Campbell) is time-warped into England's Dark Ages, where he must find the Necronomicon, a compendium of the black arts, before he can return home. Fortunately, he has time to romance a beautiful princess (Embeth Davidtz), tune up his chainsaw hand, and battle an army of skeletons led by...himself

So tempted to buy both, but the reviews are very so-so (discs NOT the movies). However my damn PS3 won't play my old R1 DVDs, so what the hell,
Dare I say it?

Gimme some sugar baby!

(apologies)

HMV seem to be adding a few titles to their sale.

Think it might get hot round here!

Great movies, shames about the blu-ray conversions - not really worth adding to the collection - stick with the DVD for these classics.
