Well, they're a bit of fun...budget films, but ED3 is supposed to come up pretty well on Blu ray. I like them anyway, so thought I'd share. Evil Dead 2 link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product…

3 is one of my favourite all time films. Granted it isnt really a follow on from the others but it is so well done it stands alone as a hugely enjoyable horror comedy.

Great films- ED2 is one of the greatest horror films of the 80's but theres really no reason to buy these on blu ray over dvd.

Review on Amazon:

'I know what you're thinking - this classic film starring Bruce Campbell has been released so many times already (and it has)... but whether you're a long-time fan or newcomer, it's worth getting this movie on Blu-Ray. Essentially, it's the HD-DVD version transferred to the Blu-Ray format, but what a difference HD makes - the quality of the picture is the best I've seen of this film. One thing worth mentioning, as it neglects to tell you under EXTRAS on the box cover: This Blu-Ray edition is the U.S. theatrical cut with the S-Mart ending - but the Director's Cut appears as an "extra" in standard definition. Incidentally, the DVD release (with the same box art and extras information) is the Director's Cut! All in all, worth £14 of anyone's money. Hail to the king baby!'

Have they remastered the film as the stop go special effects are so obvious on my DVD version ?

Listen up you primative screwheads. Classic film. Bruce's own father was in the film so they could save a few bucks. He's the old guy who gets stabbed by one of the deadites. I can't remember if he won a Oscar for that or not. Stab. "Oo." Dead. Quality acting.

My DVD has both the theatrical and directors cut on it :)
