In a savage world of man vs nature are you the hunter or the hunted? The creators of Left 4 Dead Turtle Rock Studios bring you EVOLVE the next-generation of multiplayer shooters where four hunters face-off against a single player-controlled monster. Stalk your prey execute your attack and prove you are the apex predator in adrenaline pumping 4V1 matches.

Evolve expertly blends cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster. Set on an alien planet in the distant future, gamers hunt their prey in adrenaline-pumping 4V1 matches. Players experience Evolve as a first-person shooter when playing cooperatively as the four hunters, while they control the monster in the third-person perspective, providing a gameplay experience unique to Evolve. In addition to revealing Evolve, Game Informer details Goliath, the first monster included in the game, and the first squad of four hunters, each with their own unique classes and abilities.

Should be going free to play soon. Although having a copy may give credits in game to spend.

Still the cheapest price for a physical copy at the moment ... that constitutes a deal doesn't it?

I think it is a deal considering it is a physical copy. You can trade it or give it to others after finished playing or use it as a coffee coaster too.

Agreed. If Evolve 2 wasn't around the corner and going free to play, this could be considered a deal. But as a customer, buying a game that is going to be superseded in a couple of months for a free to play improved version... it's £7 wasted.

£7 for a disc of a game that's going to be free to download and play?? Not worth it.. Maybe a quid for the hassle if you didn't then have to sit through gigs of updates anyway. So pointless. Your paying £7 for a few days of play before it goes free to play

Voted hot. Cheapest available price, and although mention of a F2P model for Evolve has been mentioned for consoles, there isn't even a date for it and those that have been mentioned have been rumoured for next year at the earliest.

Cheers, Gerry. Good deal for anybody living in the here and now.

Thanks Buzz, you can't please everyone! I think it's short sighted as well but the public have voted.

Gamesradar said that it will be several months at least before it's offered and..
Those who bought the game at a premium will get "Founder" status, as well as gifts, rewards, and special access as the game changes to this new business model. Any content already owned will also transfer to the free-to-play version, so you won't be starting from scratch.

I'm not sure how they'll go about doing this though. On PC the game is tied to an account, but on console you can just borrow it off a friend to play it on your own account. I guess they could require the disc to be in at all times to keep your account a founder's one, but it would still make it easier to be abused than the PC version. I wouldn't be surprised if this is why free to play has not yet been announced on console.
