We have a baby coming and I've had a price watch on this since January... never seen it cheaper!! Great for newborns or as a gift for new parents. If you don't know what it is, Google is your friend but product description is pasted below.

A peaceful night's sleep is not only important for the whole family, but also for baby's development. Help your baby settle down to a peaceful sleep with Ewan the sheep. Ewan replicates the soothing sounds of a pregnant mum's womb and heartbeat. The sounds have been combined with household, musical and natural sounds at low bass frequencies of 125hz to produce ‘pink noise.’ This is the type of noise that babies predominantly hear when in the womb, which is why it is so effective.
Ewan also emits a soothing pink glow - research has shown that babies are comforted by certain aspects of the womb, so a pink ambient glow is the natural choice for the dream sheep’s tummy.

I personally wouldn't buy this, too many things out there like this to help newborns sleep at night, when the truth is newborns do not want to sleep at night, they want to keep you awake FOREVER!!!

I paid about £27 for mine so this is a good deal. Watch out for the piano song that plays when you squeeze the right hand front leg. Had me bawling with my hormones just after i'd had him lol doesn't work for every baby the way it should but certainly calms mine down.

i had one of these and it didn't work for me

I really wanted this to work for my baby. It calmed him down but did not aid his sleep.
Very good price though, have some heat! :)

Good price - we paid nearly a tenner more for this. As others have said, doesn't necessarily send the baby to sleep, but has certainly helped to keep put boy calmer in a morning when getting up.

My baby loved his Ewan and we still use it now almost 11 months later. Best baby buy to date.

I bought a CD from Ebay for a couple of pounds when I had my very colicky and unsettled first son 7 years ago...the CD was called 'white noise' and certainly calmed him down and helped him sleep. might also be worth investigating if you don't want to spend as much (if they still do). I remember the time well...sleep deprivation is awful but it does get better! Good luck new parents!

Forgot to say...the CD was full of weird and wonderful fuzzy sounds that were supposed to replicate the sounds in the womb! Not nice to listen to as an adult though !

We just bought Ewan! We paid about this anyway luckily, we bought him with a damaged box. Our daughter is a month old and it helps to settle her on a night. I love that his velcro tail means he can be fastened onto pretty much everything!

Great price.
