no idea...

OP says it very clear: log on their website on the indicated day and time and book for a stay during the offer period. What is confusing you?
#7
I guess that is the date and time you need to get onto the website and make a booking!!!

I think it means that if you check from noon on the 17th January, then £1 rooms will be available between 1st February and 30th April, and so on...

Great information, thanks butterfly17, voted hot.

Voted HOT with a a capital H:thumbsup:

This is a *Heads Up* on the actual DATE that the sales will be on by the looks of it. and what a BRILLIANT piece of info too!!!

We managed to book a room when we went to see Prince at the O2 arena last year. The hotel is BRILLIANT and the staff are absolutely spot on.

A handy hint for when the the booking day comes,,,, be online at EXACTLY the time stated and be ready to hit *Refresh* repeatedly........ :( Its a VERY popular offer :viking:

Just wondering if they will do the same as the last sales and make £29 rooms available after the £1 ones are sold? Even at £29 they are a BARGAIN
#10
nice, well done!
#11
when travelodge did the £9 sale, there site crashed for the first few hours

probably will be the same for this, if not worse
#12
Are you releasing more than 50 £1 rooms that thousands try their best to get and find 2 minutes after the offer opened only £29 rooms upwards are available? Seems like a con to me to get people to the site and wanting a room, then paying more for the more expensive rooms instead. Good deal if you can get it, but I doubt anyone can.
#13
you will still be VERY lucky to get one of the said rooms at the £1.00. The website not surprisingly melts down on this day......:w00t:

These £1 sales happen from time to time and they have kindly posted the dates and times they go onsale in advance.

In my experience of them though. The website get really overloaded.
And the £1 rooms of course go very quickly. Also they may be for odd dates. Dont expect a Saturday night.

The Hoxton hotel is a great hotel. Very modern and trendy. Upper 3* in rating I think.
Note that this hotel is in East London (near to Liverpool Street) in the most fashionable area of town so is not near the west end.

Dont let this put you off. As the Shoreditch area is a destination in it's own right.
Great bars and restaurants, (plus brick Lane just down the road)
and weekend markets nearby for shopping.

Hope OP doesn't get into trouble for releasing this information though??? :?

also forget to add.

That they release not only £1 rooms. But also £29 and £59 rooms.
These are still a bargain for central London where you will pay more like £150 for a hotel of this standard.

Even the basic rack rates at the Hoxton are pretty good.

A con????? Try getting another room in an equivalent hotel for £29 or even £50 during the summer, Even the whiffy B&B`s on the housing estates are more than that :whistling:

Hope this turns to be True! :-D !!! Cheers!!! Heat Added! :-D !!

I think its called a market. Of course the £1 offers are popular and of course they are going to go super-quickly - just like things with all good sales.

£29 & £59 rooms for a good London hotel does not sound like a con to me.

With a welcome like that you can see why people are discouraged from posting deals.

Voted hot.
#21
im voting this extremely hot. have seen this a few times before and have not been lucky enough to get one. hoping to be lucky this time. thanks your a star
#22
will be nice that hottest deal this week isn't for fast food at last!!!
#23
You can't call this a con at all, just a very limited offer. It always seems strange to me that people get upset when there's a bargain chance but a very limited amount available - would you rather no offer at all so everyone loses out?

Be online at the right time and give it a go, if you don't bag a room then it's not the end of the world, is it?

Voted hot.

Seriously, what is there not to understand? All the information is there infront of you, it requires you to read.

This site has an alarming number of members who need their hands held through EVERYTHING and are prepared to do absolutely NOTHING for themselves.

As for it being a con, not at all. The offer was popular last year so the £1 rooms went quickly. £29 is still a very good price for this hotel due to its location and facilities. My only criticism would be the website not being able to cope.

I paid £15 a night with Travelodge Liverpool street about a year ago. No messing about, was plenty of dates available when I wanted, 2 nights in a row, and no messing about being at the internet at 9am on a specific date, with an internet site that doesn't work then offers you £29 rooms on dates you don't want, and £59 on some days you want.

The aim of the offer though is to get people to pay more than £1, more than give away loads of nights in a room for next to nothing. Do you seriously think Hoxton is making money out of the people spending £1? Or the people who couldn't get the £1 rooms and spent more?!
#26
I've managed to take advantage of this offer every time I've seen it! I think I've been 5 times now, and only ever paid £1 per night.

Good headsup, voted HOT
#27
its def not a con ive had 2 of theses £1rooms since they first started doing offer and 2 £29 rooms and has been going for a while now so def NO CON !! fab post voted hot

I have stayed in the hoxton 3 times now, all three times for £29 and was very happy all three times, the hotel is very close to old street station which is on the northern line so very easy to get into central london, we stayed there last summer when we went to see muse. also they have a later checking out time to most other hotels so you can get a lay in ;)

voted HOT!!!
#30
hopes she's the one with brown hair in the middle lol! very hot deal indeed will be ready on the day!
#31
can I just ask is it possible to book for more than 1 night - don't mind if 2nd night not at a reduced rate even.
#32
Thanks very much for this info, voted hot
#33

I have got one the last two times they did it,
#35
I'd vote HOT if I could actually get the site to load up on the day, last 2 times it's been impossible to get a room. Bit of a con.
#36
It's no con! I've managed to get a £1 room twice now, and the last time was for a Saturday night. They had the following night for £30 so a bargain long weekend for £31! Also someone in my office managed to get a £1 room last time too - so keep trying...
#37
Good to know. Cheers
#38
GREAT DEAL - we've stayed at the Hoxton twice, each time we managed to get one of the £29 rooms and I would highly recommend it! The staff are sooo helpful and friendly and the rooms are not luxurious but are more than adequate - I for one will be online on the dates specified. Thanks
#39
As has been mentioned above, these £1 rooms can only be booked on the exact time and date quoted in the OP.

The last time they made this offer it was almost impossible to access the site for the first few minutes, and by the time things had quietened down a bit, all the £1 rooms were gone!

They even had to offer a simple 'text' based web site to try and cope with the demand.

Some people were obviously lucky, but don't get your hopes up too high... it really is a mad house! (The deal I mean, not the Hotel!).

Good found, not of use to me as I live in Greater London. Thanks anyway.
